1999 GMC Denali - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to replace the light in a radio of a 99 gmc denali suv??
The tiny bulb is soldered to the front tuner circuit board, so the radio must come completely apart and the front face must be unscrewed and moved away to access the bulb. You will need a soldering pencil and a heat sink or you will ruin the circuit board when you desolder the old bulb and install the new one, the bulbs are available online or on eBay.

I locked my keys in my 98 Yukon how can I get them
If your vehicle is equipped with an active OnStar account, I would suggest calling OnStar to remotely unlock your vehicle. Otherwise, I would recommend calling either a locksmith or a towing company that offers vehicle lock-out service. AAA motor club also provides this service for members.

When I turn the key, all the lights, etc. come on,
With your foot on the brake pedal, wiggle the transmission shifter in the P ( park ) setting and turn the key at the same time. Most cars have some kind of switch on the shifter to prevent you from starting your car in gear.

My factory alarm keeps arming
There is probably a short in the wire. Have you ever took your keys far away so that it couldn't be armed or set off by them?

Your coolant is to low to allow heating...not water to heat up or cool the engine. Check the coolant resevior/radiator after the engine is cooled and then refill with anti-freeze. this should solve the problem...if not, you have a sticking thermostat or a clogged radiator. Good luck

1999 gmc 5.7 how do i reset service engine soon
sometimes as with mine i had to take it to the dealer or a trusted mechanic and have him hook up the diagnostic computer to clear it. it will tell him what is wrong with it too. mine was the catalytic converter. it will keep coming on if car is not fixed. i took mine to the dealer and it cost $1200.00 out of my pocket. find someone else if this is the issue and have them only cut off the catalytic converter and only replace that part. much cheaper only cost me $300.00 parts and labor for my 2003 yukon xl.

Loss of power to radio windows and wipers
Check your user manual for the fusible link information which is no longer "fusible links, but have been replaced by relays (square plug-in modules) that will sit in the main distribution panel of the vehicle under the hood. The user manual will tell you which position the relay is in for controlling those devices that failed and will tell you where the distribution panel is so you can remove the cover and see the square modules. The parts store can assist you with this task for free in order to sell you a replaement "maxi fuse".
