sounds like the blower motor resistor is bad. it's located on the passenger side under the dash behind the blower motor itself. Just changed mine on my 2004 sierra. Fairly easy job to do. Hope this helps :)

if your truck is equipped with one, it will be on the inside of the frame rail sort of right under the drivers seat area. however, some of these trucks did not come with a filter, so if you dont see it here it doesnt have one.

Rotate the actuator until the spline goes on partially, then rotate to align with mounting bolts. May need to turn wheels while doing the final rotation.

if the unit has been replaced twice then the only other option is you have a bad computer module. Alot of times reprogramming doesnt help but replacing it does. If this much work has already been done and it fell under warrenty when you first documented this with the dealer it should still be covered because it was never fixed. You could ask a mechanic if he has IATN.com. This is a site where alot of mechanics can address issues and pick each others brain. Check it out.

look at the top hose were it joins the engine block there are two or three bolts holding on the hose fitting, undo the bolts and the thermostat is under this,, you will need a new gasket as well ,,,dont forget to remove all trases of the old gasket before you fit the new gasket on, and dont over tighten the bolts or hose clip,, top up the rad and run the motor for 5 minuets you may also need to bleed the air out the cooling water so just run the motor for 5 minuets first then top up the rad again,, its not a hard job to do and it will save you paying the workshop
