Hello there, I have a
The basics are fuel, timing and igntion. Seeing as you have changed the fuel filter and it runs for quite a while, you should take a look at the igntion system. The most common cause for your type porblem is the coil over-heating and shorting out. This could be caused by leaking plug wires or the coil itself is bad. Another less likely cause is the igntion module an-or the pickup coil.
With the approximate running time being the same, I'm betting the coil is the cause.
Good luck.

I have a 1989 gmc 1500 and cant get the brake
First I would check the fuses. You may have two fuse boxes. One inside and one under the hood. You can check for voltage on both sides of the brake switch to verify proper operation. That's where I would start.
Transmission not shifting up speed sensor
Your Transmission is not electronic so its not the speed sensor . Your transmission uses engine vacuum and cable to determine when to shift. You need to check for engine vacuum at the modulator on the side of the trans it is a small steel tube with a rubber hose at the end. Also you have a throttle cable that is connected at the throttle body and goes to the trans if this cable is stuck it will delay the up shift. Get a good service manual and it will directions on how to adjust the cable and some more troubleshooting steps.
How do you fix the oil coolant line?
I assume there is a pin-hole in the line? Easiest way is to find the leak, cut it out, and reconnect with the right size fuel hose (should be 1/4" or 3/8"). Make sure to use small hose clamps to connect the hose
