2001 gmc sonoma overheating causes and whee is thermostat
Not sure if you have the 4.3 v 6 or the 2.2 I4. Regardless, follow the top radiator hose to the engine. Where the top hose connects to the engine is the thermostat housing and the thermostat is in the housing. IF you go to Auto Zone, you can pick up the new thermostat and they can give you the step by step instructions for you to replace the thermostat with common tools. Good luck and hope this helps.

Driver door will not close properly>
These things can be a pain, cause I have one... Have you adjusted the striker mechanism? Your adjustments are basically the striker and the door hinges. It is possible that you have worn door hinge pin(s). You may need to adjust the hinges. Rick
1989 gmc sierra c1500 with 350 automatic 8 ft bed regular cab vibration at 45 in overdrive
I had the exactly the same problem, in overdrive my truck would start to shake, in 3rd it would instantly go away, i assumed it was the flywheel to, THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM, your tranny is in good shape and flywheel are in good shape, I had the "Idle Motor" replaced is what my mechanic called it, this completely fixed my problem, also my fuel milage went up considerably after having this replaced, hopefully this will help you out
1990 454 Chevy C1500 turns over but will not start
the first thing i check on these Chev trucks is the fuel pump.............sometimes a rap with a hammer on the gas tank will get it going again...if it does you should have the pump replaced anyway because it will stop again
hope this helps...........good luck!
Engine will not start
ecm/pcm. i have replaced mine twice in the lifetime of my truck. i have a 1990 gmc suburban. the pcm controls both. it only cost about $90.00, but b4 you do that check all of your grounds. i have seen that when there was a main ground that was loose or corroded everything would power up, but it wouldn't start/run.
90 chev truck
There is no door adjustment usually needed. On these trucks the hinge pin bushings wear out. open your door slightly, then try picking up on it by grabbing the end of the door and pulling up. if you are able to move it up and down, you need new hing pins and bushings. they are about 8 bucks each (2 per door) and are found at your parts store in the Help! section of hardware. good Luck.
