Knocking coming from under the extended cab from
There called torsion bar mount bushings, and will cost about $34.00 for both of them. Parts Source.
Jack up RH side of truck, crawl under LH side
- 1 Remove nut from torsion bar mount stud that secures the mount to the
cross-member. You'll have to feel for it, you won't be able to see it
from below.
- 2 Remove bottom two bolts. Easy, they're in plain view from below. Now the mount is free.
- 3 Push up on cross member, remove old mount.
- 4 Insert new mount - push up on cross member, slip mount in between frame
and cross member. Drop hole in cross member over the stud.
- 5 Loose assemble nut and two bolts. Torque down once other side is done.
Now over to the passenger side
- 6 Jack up driver side of truck
- 7 Repeat steps 1 and 2
- 8 To get the mount out, try pushing up on the cross member, just like the
driver side. If it comes out, great. I couldn't get the cross member up
high enough on mine. I used a big screwdriver and ripped it out by
separating the rubber from the metal plate. It came out in pieces.
- 9 Install new mount. If you didn't have trouble getting the old one out,
you probably won't have a problem getting the new one in. As I said, I
did. I couldn't raise the cross member high enough to slip it in.
Solution: whack 3/8" off the stud. You'll still have plenty left for
the nut.
- 10 Reinstall nut & bolts, torque down.
- 11 Remove jack, Torque down drives side.
Good luck. The TRW's are one-piece urethane, (I think) and came with a lifetime guarantee. They'll probably outlast the vehicle.
Wiring problem
It goes:
Tan/white (wire closest to the spark plug)
Purple/white
black/red
tan/black (furthest from the spark plug)
I have a 93 chevy s-10 blazer with a 4.3 vortec
When you replaced the pressure regulator under the upper plenum did you notice any fuel puddling in the lower intake? I have had numerous occasions when the plastic fuel lines inside the plenum that attach to the spider were cracked. You can pressureize the fuel system with the upper plenum off and look for leaks also lift all the nozzles out of the holes and watch to see if they are dripping this a very common problem.
My 93 s10 floods in park
it can be 2 different things hook a scanner to it and see what the engine coolant temperature is if it reads way too cold it's telling the computer to dump more fuel than needed if the sensor is reading normal the fuel pressure regulator is probably bad and needs to be replaced
My truck seems so sputter when i am driving. it
It could also be wires if they haven't been changed recently. An easy fix would be to spray the wires and cap with RustCheck or WD-40. If you use RustCheck get the red can. Either will temporarily seal you electrical system from water. You can do them separately to try and pinpoint the problem or all together. Don't forget the coil leads and the coil itself. Hope this helps.
My 93 s-10 pickup 4.3 engine will not start. i
Did you plug in a noid light to see if the injectors are "firing?"
If your timing chain is good, and you have good compression in the engine, you need to verify what you don't have...fuel or spark.
You may have fuel pressure, but that doesn't mean the injectors are letting the fuel go.
Clutch going out is it an easy fix? what could be
Dear Clutch Going-Out,
Easy, not so much, time consuming, yes.The first time diy'er will probably spend an entire day performing this repair.First you will need to get the vehicle up in the air, remove the driveshaft andThe trans itself has to be removed from the vehicle before the clutch can be even seen. After trans is removed then you have an easy time to actually install the clutch and pressure plate and bearing. Then you simply reinstall in the reverse order.A very nice tool to have for this job would be a tranny floor jack, this will make your install much easier.Any questions get back to me...I'M HERE TO HELP!!!
Non working tail lights
check the bulbs. The turn & Brake light works off the yellow wire for the left and a green wire for the right. The drive lights (tail lights) operate off of the brown wire. They use a double element bulb. Hope this helps. Also check your grounds.
My truck stalls
it sounds like you might have intake manifold vacuum leaks. make sure all mounting bolts are tight and all vacuum hoses going to and from the intake manifold are in good shape with no tears or cracks.
How to replace rear freeze plug
You will have to pull the trans to get to the freeze plug. Take a punch and knock one side of the plug in then pull the rest of the plug out with plires.Take sand paper and clean the hole, Apply permatex sealant around the new plug, and drive it in with a socket that will just fit inside the freeze plug. You should replace them both while you are there. Good Luck
325i bmw will not start, no turn over
Probably there is no gas. Try to see the spark on the plugs: pull out a spark plug and put it aside attached to it cable while someone else try to start the car, you have to see the spark.
If there is spark, the try to listen near the gas tank, when you put the car on ignition, you have to hear the fuel pump.
The car is not gonna start if you have vacuum leaking, so check the hoses in the intake manifold, nothing loose there?
Then at last check your timing belt, but the car should be running by now.
