2004 ford f-250 superduty 5.4l trouble code p1000

P1000 OBD II - Monitor Testing Not CompletedThis code means that the reader was unable to complete the test. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong, kinda. It probably is due to the chip. If your state inspection requires a clean test of the system and they actually put a code reader on it for certification- you'll fail. If they don't require a clean code, you'll be just fine.Any time power to the pcm is interrupted you will see the P 1000 code. That's all it is. So, if take your vehicle for an OBD smog check it will fail if there is a P 1000 code, because the presumption is that the battery had been disconnected to temporarily clear some other code.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

What should a EGR replacement cost to repair? Ford estimates 8-10 hours.

Is this a diesel engine....and are you talking about the egr cooler?

One headlight on my 04 f250 lowbeam only won't work even with new bulb

Try a new Relay. Sometimes Ford uses the same part in other sockets. The horn relay may be interchangeable for testing.Relays are shown in the help section of Autozone.com when you register your vehicle.

6.0 2004 F-250 was starting hard when cold, replaced glow plugs &harness still starts hard runs rough, glow plug light stays on longer now though

time for replacement of or severe cleaning with fuelinjection cleaner..also if diesel, add cold start to the fuel system..check and replace oil filter type fuel filter since jelling of fuel may be a cold start issue..crack open an injector line and see if injector pump is pushing fuel really well..and see if air cleaner needs replaced blackened element is not good..good luck..

Heater blowes hot when engian is revved up

The best and faster way to heat a car up is to drive. I know that it is a cold ride but that is the fastest way.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------elm 327 bluetooth

I have 2004 ford f 250 6.0. let me start by saying, it has new head gaskets, new head bolts, new glow plugs, new water pump, egr delete, even new radiator cap, only 6000 miles ago. but now when engine

I my experience it is a compression leak into the cooling system probably a crack between the valves or improper torquing of the heads one test to confirm is test the cooling system for hydrocarbon emissions you can do this with a gas analyzer or a block fluid test kit if you uses the fluid test follow the directions exactly or you could get a false reading

I start my truck and it has full power, everything working. I put it in drive push the pedal to the floor and have no power. If i kill it and restart it it drives fine sometimes and other times no pow

If the truck is a diesel, I would look at the EGR valve and the throttle position sensor. The TPS and even the EGR should turn the check engine light on and set a code. There was also a problem with the turbo boost sensor.
