How do I remove crank
Buy,borrow or rent a puller designed for
that GM Vehicles engine
I guess it is a front wheel drive, in which case you
may have to lower the sub frame on the passenger side,
to remove the pulley
My brake pedal is pushing
sounds like it may be the power booster, check to make sure there is vacuum going to it. if so make sure the valve on the end of the hose is ok....it a one way valve...Hope this helps??
WHy dose my brake pedal push back and make a
Look through the openings in your front wheels and look at the front rotors-are they gouged up? You are probably running metal-to-metal, pads to rotors.
Chances are real good your rotors will have to be replaced along with new pads, but if you catch it early enough you might be able to have them machined, although nowadays that is hardly easy to get done and the savings usually is not as significant as it once was.
What to do when you turn the car off but the air
It's physically impossible for anything in your car to work without the battery cables disconnected.
The blower could be shorted to ground / power, or the resistor block could be internally shorted.
My Heat works wonders, but
If the heater is on, ac air will not be cold as hot air is mixed. You need to open the dashboard and check for the struck hot setting lever. Probably a competent AC workshop will fix this for you.
Heater blower fan is not working.. fan was just
Make sure the blower motor is grounded. It's mounted in a plastic case. Check the fuse. Check for power at the blower motor wire terminal with key and blower switch on. If there is none check the resistor. If there is no power there you'll have to go back to the switch.
When i checked oil it looked milky
water or coolant is getting in oil. could be a bad head gasket.
If the coolant level continues to drop, but there are no signs of coolant leaks on the ground or from the exhaust pipe, there is a good chance that coolant is entering crankcase and mixing in with the oil. check head gasket and manifold gasket for leaks.
Have very slow water leak.. can not find where it
milky oil would suggest water has mixed in with it. this added to a slow, unfound water leak points toward a head gasket problem with the coolant escaping from the cooling system, into the oil.
this needs to be sorted out fairly quickly. apart from the obvious problems of a water leak and the risk of overheating, oil with water in it will not lubricate the engine properly and there is a serious risk of engine seizure.
a garage should be able to do a simple test on the oil to discover if it is coolant contaminating the oil.
a pressure test on the cooling system would also confirm where the coolant is being lost.
The fuel pump on my
this is a super charged 3.8 motor.there is a booster pump fuse/resistor(i think that`s what it called),that is located on the passenger side inner fender angled down wards towards the front lower fender.you will have to get access to it from under the car between the inner fender and the outer fender panel.you may have to loosen the inner fender and move it to get to it.then follow the wires to the plug under the hood on top of the inner fender.it is a 2 wire plug i think it is a white connector.this component looks more like a big resister than a fuse.you can position the new one on the inner fender in a location that it will get some air flow.it sounds as if the car will start for a couple of seconds then die, that sounds like the fuse is bad as the car needs the extra pressure that this fuse allows the pump to create.
