Rear defrost

There is usually a relay involved in the rear defogger circuit. I would check for power on the wire at the window connector with key on and defroster button on. If power there, the window grid may have a break. If no power, will have to work back in the wiring diagram.

02 pontiac sunfire won't crank at random times

Hi, I had the same problem with my girlfriend's 97' sunfire, it wouldn't start so I jumped the starter terminals which I think screwed it up even more (causing the theftlock light to come on). It turns out this is a common problem that can be solved by hooking up a GM Tech2 scanner, going under "body" codes, and following the instructions for bypassing the PASS LOCK SOLENOID. Hope you find this helpful, Byron

Broken front lug bolt in 2002 Pontiac Sunfire.

Remove wheel, caliper and rotor. hit it solidly with a good hammer and it should go right through and fall out. Sometimes you will need to grind a bit off the side of the new one to get it past any obstructions. That will not harm its performance in any way unless you take way more than you need to off of it.To get it all the way back in, oil the threads, put a stack of large washers on it and tighten the nut on backwards till you draw it all the way in.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. All of a sudden,

In a perfectly functioning system, when you turn the defrost on it will turn the ac on as well, pulls moisture from air to help defog windows. So that could be normal for the most part.you could have a leak in the water pump or a freeze plug somewhere. vehicles and heat don't get along, when they get warmed up stuff starts expanding, as is natural law, so theres things that can happen in a vehicle only when its get to operating temperature which should be around 200 degrees. so in the morning or after work, etc, what was a problem may no longer be a problem until it gets hot again.not sure if any of this helps, but thought id give ya my 2 cents on something

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. My fan stopped

HI,sounds like a the heater/ blower fan relay went bad. Unless you're mechanically-inclined you'll need a mechanic to install the replacement.Do a Google search for the relay or blower motor and/or search for a Chevy Cavalier (same car) forum to find a fix - if you want to tackle it yourself.GL,TD
