Well your mistake was letting them work on it they like to dink people around because they know whats wrong with there computer gadget my thoughts are the plug for the switch try to pull it out and then when you have this issue see if you can wiiggle some wires to see if theres a faultly connection... by the way mechanics prey for and on people like you with multiple codes going for the ones they can claim as the problem even tho they haave had this same issue before but they wont tell you that

The shaft in your power steering pump has broken. Your brakes work off of a system known as Hydra-Boost. If this shaft is broken then your steering and brakes are lost. I contacted GM after I had my power steering pump replaced and they sent me a check for the cost of my repairs. My truck was not under warranty or recalled but earlier models (2500HD) had been recalled for the power steering pump shaft. The pump was the same part number for my 2002 2500HD as the recalled years. Good Luck!

if can repair wires pig tails with sockets can be gotten from chevy to repair light. take jack and 2x4 jack up bumper if picks up truck before bends all the way use big hammer hit on 2x4 with pressure on bumper just be carefull on up swing bumpers are springy.
