tailgate won't open
carefully pop the cover off around the handle to access the metal rods. pull them together to open the gate.

My 2004 Chev Silverado continually blows the fuse listed as TBC 2B.
Some of the cluster lights go out but I was wondering what all is on
this circuit to start checking for a short.
TBC means Truck Body
Controller according to the manual. I'd just like to know if there's
more than just the dash lights on this fuse.
Thanks
tbc circuit has short that is draining the battery!
incorrectly wired radio would cause problem.it would be the wire that is suppose to connect for dimming lights looks like a ground but is not has a yellow or a white stripe with black on it.use it as a ground and it will blow the fuse.

I went to put the truck into 4 HI from 2 wheel drive and there was a clunk and now there is no power steering and no brakes. can get the brakes to work kinda if i push really hard on them. There is a some type of fluid underneath the truck, i dont know if it is transmission fluid or not. Please Help.
The shaft in your power steering pump has broken. Your brakes work off of a system known as Hydra-Boost. If this shaft is broken then your steering and brakes are lost. I contacted GM after I had my power steering pump replaced and they sent me a check for the cost of my repairs. My truck was not under warranty or recalled but earlier models (2500HD) had been recalled for the power steering pump shaft. The pump was the same part number for my 2002 2500HD as the recalled years. Good Luck!

my 2002 Silverado ran out of gas so I put a few gallons in but now it will still not start. I have heard that I need to get gas into the carburetor but I do not know how to do this. Is this something that is relatively simple to do?
If you have a schrade valve on the fuel rail, you can turn the key on
and carefully depress the valve to bleed most of the air out of the
system (valve is inside an aluminum or plastic cap similar to those
found on your air conditioning system) You don't have a carb on there
you have a throttle body...you can spray carb cleaner (not either) into
it while cranking and it may help.
Sometimes though, a marginal fuel pump will give up when run dry of
fuel. If pump cannot be heard with key on, check fuse and relay...if
good, pump may have expired. also, make sure filter is able to flow fuel before replacing pump.

oil pressure gauge is pegged out all the time doesnt matter if the key is on off or if the duramax is running. im out of ideas to check my grounds are good, my cluster is good, all fuses and wires as far as i can trace them. i can send 12volts through a black and white wire located at the fuse block and it sends the gauge all the way pegged out past zero. the gauge works fine in another pickup so no problems there
Sending unit is bad or you have a Open wire between the gauge and the sensor. Think back to when it started having the problem and you may have a clue there. Id bet the sending unit is bad though since they do go bad on occasion.
It would also do this if it was unplugged from the sending unit.

2002 chevy silverado hd2500 6.0 ecm code po332 low voltage knock sensor 2 bank 2 does this mean knock sensor is deffective causing ecm to throw this code and if so should both sensor be replace and which sensor is bank 2 the one towards back of engine
If all connections are good "dry, tight, no corrosion" then yes. It should be a defective sensor. These sensors are piezo sensors and create a voltage when sensing a knock. A bank refers to a side on a V style engine, 2 refers to the rear sensor on your bank 2. Bank 1 should be the side with cylinder #1 which should be the cylinder closest to you on one of the sides. So your looking for the rear sensor on the opposite side.

Where is the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor located on a 2002 2500HD with a 6.6 Duramax Diesel?
The intake air temperature sensor on a 6.6L diesel is part of the mass air flow sensor, located just outside the air filter housing, in the intake air snorkle going to the engine. The other one is for the turbo system and is located directly at the top of the engine in the inlet pipe for the turbo. This on is the intake temperature heater / sensor, and will set a totally different code relating to the turbo. The one you want is incorporated with the MAF sensor. Usually code P0101 sets.

Has new alternator, serpentine belt, idler pulley, battery cables have been cleaned. Started truck, disconnected batteries and truck continued running. The tension arm is bouncing a little and the idle of the motor reflects the bounce.
This could be from current sensing from the voltage regulator. Get another meter and hook it up and see if it bounces. If it does, there is nothing to worry about. If it does not, the dash gage panel needs to be reworked.
