1995 Chevrolet Astro Questions & Answers
Where is the heater blower fan fuse on a 1995 Astro van?
Fuse 12 HTR/AC in the instrument panel box, and there is also an HVAC fuse in the under hood fuse box. These vehicles had trouble with the plugs that connect to the blower motor resistor, and the blower motor, located just below the blower motor under the hood on the passenger side.
Cranks but no start
There is no fuel reset button on this van.
To test the circuit before removing the tank, you will need a voltmeter or cheap test light. Disconnect the connector at the fuel tank. On the harness side, locate the gray wire (fuel pump wire). Connect the test light to a good ground. Have a helper crank the engine over. While engine is cranking, the gray wire should have power. If it does, and the pump is not turning on, then the pump must be bad and need replacing. If there is no power on the gray wire with engine cranking, the circuit is the problem, not the pump. Go back and find the fuel pump fuse in the junction block (the fuse relay block where the fuel pump relay is). Check the fuse, also check if there is power going to the fuse. This fuse should be hot at all times. The circuit goes from battery to pump fuse to fuel pump relay to gas tank and the fuel pump.
1996 astro stalling/stalls
Right turn signal - activate turn signal and check to see if bulb (front and rear) are flashing. If not it will affect the flashing timing. Replace bulb. As for stalling, may yet be sediment/gunk in tank that is clogging new fuel pump filter and inline filter. Or an idle/throttle position sensor. Hatch problem, I've no idea. Family members 1998 Grand Caravan has been infected with similar gremlins in the sliding doors. Best advice is to obtain a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual and go through the troubleshooting section.
Where is the power window relay location on 1995 Chevrolet Astro?
As best I remember there is no relay in that circuit.it just run thru the switches.if they are not working...remove the door panel and re-connect the switches. Tap hard on the motor while holding the switch in the up or down position (which ever way the window will travel).if it starts working..you have to replace the motor
