How to test fuel pump

Use a multimeter at the plug to pump! If there is no power, check the fuses under the dash, as well as the fuse box under the hood! The lid under the hood will tell you which fuse operates the fuel system. Could just be a bad fuse, or a broken wire!

Engine will not run for more than 5 seconds after spraying carb cleaner in throttlebody

you either have created a leak or an injector is stuck wide open and leaking down. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and power up the injectors one at a time and see which one is doing the fuel pressure drop.

Trouble code 43. 1993 C 1500 5.7 automatic

code p0043 is the heater circuit on bank 1 sensor 3.

This should not give you a drivability issue. Its the 02 sensor after the cat. When you get a heater code it always 99% of the time points to a burnt out heating element just like a house dryer does.
