No start not getting gas
Check your fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with key on and engine off.If its not within these specs then replace the fuel pump and filter. There is a fuel quick connection on the fuel rail above the top of the intake manifold towards the rear of the engine on the drivers side.Hook your gauge up there.

You may have a partially plugged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump causing your problems. When you slowly build up speed to, say, 65 mph, it doesn't take a lot of fuel all at once to get to that speed but if you try to accelerate more quickly to that same speed you essentially run out of fuel which will cause the engine to bog...which then causes the transmission to downshift one or more gears...which then will allow the engine to speed up considerably but you won't really gain all that much speed. Same goes for passing someone: If you ease into it you will be using the fuel that's available more efficiently but if you step on it then you have way more air than fuel entering the engine and it just won't hardly go much faster until the fuel supply catches back up again. The quickest way to figure out what is happening is to have someone test the actual fuel pressure during a test drive to see if the pressure remains normal or falls off as the problem occurs. If the fuel pressure does fall then I always change the fuel filter first and test it again. If the pressure is normal and the problem is gone then you've found the culprit. If the pressure is still low then you most likely have a weak fuel pump. A restricted catalytic converter can also cause similar problems but is much more rare. Good luck, hope this helps!
A/c will not hold freon
if you see no traces of the dye, then your leak is probally in the dash area in the evaporator core.did you look at the a/c water drain to see if you can find traces of the dye coming out of it? also does it have rear a/c? may want to look under the vehicle to may sure you don't have a hole in a line and check the rear evaporator also.
How to install a fuel
Fuel Pressure Regulator - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
(see Figure 1)
-
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
-
Relieve fuel system pressure.
-
Disconnect the ignition coil.
-
Remove the upper intake manifold.
-
Disconnect the vacuum line to the regulator.
-
Remove the snapring from the regulator housing.
-
Place a towel under the regulator to absorb any spilled fuel and remove the pressure regulator from the fuel rail socket.
-
Remove the pressure regulator from the fuel rail.
-
Remove the pressure regulator O-ring filter, O-ring backup and O-ring and discard them.
Fig. 1: Exploded view of the pressure regulator assembly-MFI systems
To install:
-
Before installing the O-rings, lubricate them with clean engine
oil and install them on the regulator inlet as a complete assembly.
-
Install the snapring retainer into the slot on the regulator housing.
-
Connect the vacuum line to the regulator.
Ensure that the retainer is properly seated in the slot in the
regulator housing. Pull on the regulator to make sure that it is
properly seated.
-
Connect the negative battery cable.
-
Turn the ignition
ON
for 2 seconds and then turn it
OFF
for 10 seconds. Again turn the ignition
ON
and check for leaks.

you should have 60 -66 psi there is a updated fuel pump with a new connector to splice in i would buy a ac delco pump and make sure you check the fuel filter first and if it does end up being the pump its a good habit to but a new fuel filter with it.

My 98 Tahoe is running
Sounds like a solenoid piston seal. You can have it replaced, but they will want to sell you the whole package. Several hundred dollars. Try some transmission additive first $10.00. Tranx, Lucas these are both good. they recondition the seals in the transmission.

start the engine and get some o2 sensor safe throttle body cleaner, and ( be carefull not to squirt the sparkplug wires or coils) spray it on a cold engine while running while you listen for the rpm to change. what you are doing is when u spray into the area that is the vacuum leak it will( depending on the spray u use) either stumble and lower the rpms or it will rev higher for a few seconds. where ever you hear a difference in rpm, that is where u need to look for your connection. this is how we do it in our shop. good luck.
My 98 tahoe was broken
I have repaired this type of damage and the best thing to do is replace the column assembly with a used one. Use a salvaged parts search form for a used column, many sites are available on the Internet to do the searches. Below is a web link to one such site.
