my 2002 express van did the same. replaced the fan, it now has no troubles.

i had a similar problem and called the dealer during lunch hour. i talked to a mechanic, the distributor in these vehicles is plastic, and is prone to cracking.not just the cap but the body also, I have been taking the cap off and wiping the moisture out of the cap. or replacing the cap but the problem is I need a new distributor. just a cheep way to get rolling is cleaning the inside of the cap, especially when it is very damp or the outside temp changes alot during the day. good luck.

hi the only way you can do this is by a diagnostic machine, you can but these relatively cheaply now, look on ebay and you will find them for a few bucks, but this is ok, but the reason why your light is on is another matter, this means you have a problem wih the vehicle, you will not be able to find out what the problem is until you either take it to a dealer or a garage and they can diagnose it for you or you purchase a system off the net, or even local if there is one...hope this helps

You'll need to check all your connections by your headlights foward harness on both the left as well as the right side also does this happen in either the bright or dim mode or both check your ground at both locations these are located close to you foward harnesses. these lights are fused make sure your fuses haven't come loose. next the i/p harness behind the battery may be loose or have a loose terminal. If none of these repair the issue lookm inside at the multifunction switch connections located at the left side at the base of the steering column access this by removing the trim. or if it's one set of lights doing this look at the bulbs.

check all fuses first. does ac compressor come on? if not, unplug pressure switch in low pressure line near where you add freon and short across pigtail. comes on now and cools? replace switch. if not plug back in. apply manual voltage to ac compressor. comes on and cools? if not compressor or clutch is bad. if it does, check ac relay. that's about all you can do with limited tools in the driveway. if no progress has been made, time to take it to the pros.

Bank 1 and bank 2 lean and no vacuum leaks,is there any way your code reader gives fuel trim? There is nothing wrong with the computer its detecting a lean condition,you can clean the MAF sensor,for starter,just remove the sensor use carburator cleaner or brake cleaner,not starting fluid, and reinstall dry, clear your code go from there the lean running code are 2 trip monitors so it will take two ignition start up if the code is to reappear.
