While driving down the highway, my 2004 Chevy Tahoe displayed a reduce engine power message. The accellerator pedal at that point had no effect on the engine even though it was still running. My manual told me to check the gas cap by lossening it then retightening it. It corrected the problem for about 30 miles, then the solid engine light came back on with the same message. After going through the gas cap procedure again several times, the light and message warning went out. I made it home but am concerned about driving the vehicle for any distance at all now. What may be the problem. There are no service or warning lights that are on.
have autzone check for any stored trouble codes, replace the fuel cap, make sure you have plenty of gas

I opened my 2004 Chevy Tahoe Sunroof, is stuck open moves slightly forward and back when the button is pressed but will not close.
It sounds like it just needs to be reinitialized. Turn your key to the on position with motor off and hold the up/full vent button down for at least 30 seconds or until your sunroof either clicks or goes to the full vent position. That should fix your problem.

Maybe check to see if your button next to your headlights switched is pushed in or out?

The stability system disabled light came on in my 2004 chevy tahoe, what is that for?
Your vehicle is equipped with vehicle stability control, what the system does is prevent the car from going out of control due to a skid, it does this by applying the brakes at each wheel very quickly to straighten the car out in the event of a skid like on ice or a wet road, the system is part of the ABS (Anti-lock brake system), when the light comes on and stays on it means that something has failed in the system and the computer that controls it has disabled the system

This is a common issue with the Tahoes of this year range but it is very fixable, no need for a new instrument cluster or expensive trip to the dealership. What's happened is your gauge motors have quite working inside the instrument cluster.

which fuse is the driver instrument cluster on my 04 tahoe

how many coolant gallons in radiator
About 3 and 1/2. If you let it set and drain. Takes time. If you drianed just the radiator and what spills out. Maybe 2 gallons.

Reset anti theft 2004 Tahoe
There are two ways.
By far the best is to take it to a dealership. They connect it to a laptop and pair the key, the ignition switch chip and the ECM.
The other way. Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and reconnect. When the power is connected, the ECM pairs the key and ignition switch chip.
