2004 chev silverado always has engine light on and

it sounds like its the engine speed censor, playing up
try looking at the mass air flow censor as well it is one of them thats doing this,,you could hook it up and read the fult codes that way it should take you right to it,

I need the location for a coolant sensor on a 04

You didnt say what size of engine you had, but in 5.3L the coolant temp sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine, just in front of the exhaust manifold. If you have a different engine, just leave a comment on here and i will update the location.

2004 chevy silverado

The above descriptions of the connector are very good. I washed the engine compartment yesterday, and immediately started getting the reduced enginer power code on the CIC, not performance. After reading several posts, I checked the connector on my 2003 2500HD, and found that the connector was not seated well and had gotten water in it. I cleared the water and the reconnected. The cables running from the fuse box to the connector are so short, the connector is in a bind and is pulled off-center. That is why the connector wasn't seated properly. The code went away, and the performance returned. By the way, be sure to do this after pulling the negative cable on your battery.

Reduce engine power after hooking up superchip

thats interesting, I plan on putting a HP CHIP in my 87 buick GN, but I know its not good to put super chip in, not intended for street vehicles. maybe its telling you to tone it down, maybe its telling you your engine may not handle this upgrade. or its not cpmpatable ! I would contact the manufactorer about this, they have a 1-800-number for tech questions . let me know

The heater blows cold air on the drivers side and hot air on the passangers side?

temp blend door problem. either actuator motor bad, door broke inside heater box, or somthing interfearing with it closing. it could be an electrical issue w controller as well.

An orange light came on in the dashboard

that light comes on when you either have a flat or low tire pressure. if its obviously not flat then you may have low enough tire pressure to have triggered the sensor. hope this helps

you probably have a bad temp door actuator for the driver side, it will need to have the system rehomed after repair
