I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab

Stop lamp circuit discription Stop Lamps The STOP LP 25-amp fuse in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the normally open stop lamp switch. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the switch contacts close and battery positive voltage is supplied to both the STOP 15-amp fuse and the center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) 10-amp fuse in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block, and to the turn signal/hazard module. The turn signal/hazard module then supplies voltage to both of the trailer rear turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuits. The voltage from the CHMSL 10-amp fuse is to the CHMSL and the trailer jumper harness. The voltage from the STOP 15-amp fuse is to the stop lamps, throttle actuator control (TAC) module, and the cruise control. I think The turn signal/hazard module has something to do with the lights flashing .From looking at a wiring diagram B+ voltage from the STOP LP fuse 25amp in the under hood fuse box supply's the brake light switch , from there it feeds B+ to VEH STOP fuse 15amp and VEH CHMSL fuse 10amp an to stop lamp switch signal to the turn signal flasher module which is suppose to control the trailer stop lights . Do you have a connection for a trailer hook up ? Remove both LT an RT TRLR fuse's both 10 amp from the I/P fuse block an see if the problem goes away . Do you tow a trailer ? Check the trailer connector for corrosion !

Truck works fine in R, 1, and 2 nothing in 3 or D. 2006 Silverado V-6 automatic 1/2 ton

Hey Anon, Yes, drive it to the tranny shop..plan to leave it... sounds like you are in for a rebuild.. this is typical for GM RWD transmissions.. I have seen TOO many do this same thing,, (I have had TWO in for this... vehicles I inherited that were not maintained)..GM transmissions on RWD's must have the fluid and filter changed every 50K - 75K and a complete fluid exchange and filter replacement every 120K -150K MINIMUM for them to last..usually cost around $1200 - $1400.. sorry.. Good luck!

06 chevy silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3lt code U0107 Dashboard show "engine power reduced " scan recommend replace Electronic Throttle Body Module. mechanic told me throttle body. This is completely different

I have worked on these and have found that there are issues with the throttle "body". You should be able to get one on ebay for around $80. They have wiring issues inside and get poor connections after warming up and cooling down repeatedly. Hope this helps.

Looking for front suspension torque specs for tie rod. Or is a stabilizer shaft link the same thing as a tie rod

The tie rod connects the two front steering pieces together so that both tires point in the same direction at the same time. The stabilizer shaft link is part of the suspension that helps keep the vehicle lever when you're going around corners. Check with your local GM dealer or auto parts supply for torque specs.

Should there be any play in the frame mount bushings on the lower control arm or the rack and pinion frame mount bushing?

The control arm will move some, the bushings are rubber. Made to do that so the ride isn't like being in a tank. The rack only has one bushing, on the passenger side. If your talking about the bar behind the rack. It is called a sway bay. It has two frame bushings. If the sway bar is moving up and down 1/2 inch, the bushing are bad. There should be some movement, but 1/2 inch is excessive. Again they are rubber. Any thing rubber is going to have movement. But should be sloppy.

If the air bag light comes on and stays on it is telling you there is a problem with the system and the air bag(s) is disabled. Until the problem is fixed, the light will remain on and the airbags will not work. Special software is required to read and reset the airbag system. God-Bless!

HOW TO REMOVE A STUCK CASSETTE TAPE -2006 SILVERADOE

First of all, it's a cassette...who cares!?! Secondly, you would have to disassemble the radio, maybe causing damage to other parts of the radio. There is a place in L.A. That can exchange your radio for a rebuilt factory and they will return your cassette...AER Technoligies. Look them up.
