you need a belt diagram for a 1985 C3500, the engine size would help but let me see,......... there are a few engines and i also can not find a chevy pick up c3500. is this the correct model C3500

Man thats a strange deal, If I were you I would try to find a junk yard that would let you pull the parts you need to trpair yourself. That way you can see what is mising and be able to get all the parts at once.

Not an expert here but hope this helps. I had an 85 GMC Van and the previous owner had installed an electric fuel pump in engine compartment. I too would stall when hot. I finally relocated fuel pump to underneath the van and it ran cool and no more vapor locks.

flush the radiator,also check to see if a lot of the cooling fins are bent over on the front or back of the radiator blocking any of the air flow also if the motor is working to hard from any number of things such as a hanging up brake,low tire or ill shifting transmission can also cause this and does your motor home still have the fan shroud if not definitely put one on it,also do a pressure check on the cooling system if it is leaking even slightly when you are driving it will cause the same problem,a pressure test will reveal a leak (if it has one) even if you can see any obvious signs of one

Check the fuse-able link going to the cab portion of the firewall, check by gently pulling apart on the wires on either side of link.

Is it overheating all the time or just sometimes. Does driving it cool it down? or is it heating up while driving. As for fuel gauge it could be faulty sending unit....

There is an ignition module in your distributor cap. Some auto parts stores can test these if it's removed.

85 with TBI only needs 13lbs of fuel pressure. verify that the fuel filter is clean. there is no easy way to ck fuel pressure, special adapters are needed, I dont have info here at home but there should be a relay for the pump, on the firewall and the oil pressure switch also powers the pump. did you replace the pump trying to fix this problem or did you just mention it to help troubleshoot the problem? verify that the fuel pump wiring has a good ground, should have been a eyelet that bolted to the frame..when you initially turn the key on, you should hera the fuel pump power up for 2 seconds, then go off, after the engine starts, the power for the pump goes through the oil pressure switch.
