sounds like your ignition is junk probaly bad tumblers

It's electric and there was a recall on that power steering unit it's an electric motor on the steering column

Are you sure the battery is ok, sounds like a low battery voltage problem. You can have the battery tested for free at any of the discount auto parts stores like Autozone for instance.

it is the bushing/bearings. had them fixed twice already and mine is a 2008 cobalt! uncool! atleast me warranty is still valid.....for one more month

your having the same problem alot of people are having with the ignition switch, the only way to fix it is to change the whole igniton switch you can eitther go buy a new one or a used one from a junkyard either way you go, you will end up changing the ignition switch to cure the problem. The saturn ions are also having the same ignition problems.

Have you checked your C.V. axles? the symptoms you describe would lead me to them.

Have you got the correct key??

Spray some CRC into the key hole.

Try "jiggling" the steering wheel at same time as turning key.

the rattling is most likley a heat sheild that is loose,I see this mostly every day. get some self tapping screws and secure the sheild back in it's place . Don't remove the heat sheild it's there for a reason.

You will need the car towed to a body shop or at least a general auto repair shop to inspect what is damaged. Get your Insurance company involved. thats why you have insurance.

Close off the air intake and it will stop. Disconnect the battery and replace the switch. I think you only need the tumbler and not the entire switch unit since it is the key that won't operate properly.

Which dash console light? Consult with your owners manual first.

there isin't one. the transmission is (non-servicable)the dealership has special equipment to service it.
