You talking about radiator fan? Any applicable trouble codes? Check the coolant temp sensor. I can't rule out other issues.

The most common reason would be excessive fuel in the exhaust, from a leaking injector or other problem.

Sounds like either a vacuum leak, a TPS throttle position sensor, an AIC air idle control valve, or worst case scenerio, an intake manifold gasket. Try spraying brake cleaner directly onto intake manifold at the gasket. If idle lowers, that is the problem. Also spray all visible vacuum hoses and listen for idle drop. Listen for air hissing as well. Good luck let me know if these are good tips

the coil is under the rotor take it off then there is probably some kind of cover but it is usually just to screws one on the coil and one for the wire conection

You can submerge it in a can of oil and turn the gears, or on some models use a long screwdriver to turn the pump after it is installed in the engine.Make sure you crank the engine with the coil disconnected until the oil pressure light goes out, before the engine is started.

What is the problem you are experiencing?

maybe the finns on the water pump rotted away or the thermostat was put in backwards

you need to change the CTS ( coolant temp sensor ) that is what operates the coolant fan. turns on at 222 degrees and off at 219 degrees

Sounds Like a power problem but is the battry good? The way to find out is a test light ( a test light is an icepick looking device theat has a wire coming out of a clear handle with a clip on the end and a light bulb inside the handle and an ice pick sticking out the other end) First the battery cables, disconnect them and clean them( wire brush, pocket kniife, battery tool). once that's done try it ( you might have fixed it) You said the heater went out but you didn't say the fan stopped or it blows cold air. If the fan stopped it can be just that. with the hood open on the passenger side find the blower motor. it's behind the engine in the firewall and it has a large purple wire ( single ) plugged into it. theres about 5 bolts or 6 holding it on. Onderone of them is the ground wire, make sure it's connected ( unconnecct it and reconnect it ) It's more fun to do this with it turned on as you get to see what fixes it. Reconnect the power wire too. with the key on and the heater set too high and the wires reconnected wrap on the heater motor and it might come on. Use your test light to verify that the power is coming to the purple wire and then move the dash switch to a lower speed and try it again as high is one circuit and the lower speeds are another. if the big wire is not lighting the test light, ( make sure that the light works by touching the battery positive and as it might not light reconnecdt the clip on the light till it works for sure then tes the wire again if it's good then touch the housing of the fan if it lights the ground wire is'nt making reconnect it or make another one. if it's good now and wrapping on the motor doesn't make it work you need a different motor parts store or the junkyard try not to pay more than 20 bucks even the parts store shouldn'r be over 35. Let's say the batery is up good and the light's come on and it still doe'snt start. You didn't say if it was a 6 cyclinder ( it has a carborater or a 4 it's fuel injection ) but it might not be getting fuel. Add so to the air inletand see if it starts or flashes off ( runs a little and stopps ) iF IT DOES THE FUEL TANK CAN BE EMPTY. You need to take the lid off shake the car and hear the gas slooshing around. If you can't hear anything put in some more gas. and try again. rember a low battery might crank the engine but not trun the fuel pump on or fire the spark. If this doesn't work post me and tell me what engine you have and what did'nt work so far.

It is under the hood, in the center center, lower engine area, below drivers side end of intake manifold, mounted in distributor.

Check your power steering fluid level. Top it off with power steering fluid only.

The pump and or steering mechanism may be failing. Be very careful driving this vehicle as a full failure could leave you without any steering.

If you turn the signal to the left side does the right side stay on? Could be a bulb going bad or the turn signal switch.

Change the fuel pump. The diaphram is leaking ang sending fuel into the crankcase.

It may be the fuel filter. Your may need to replace it or tighten it.
