Check the engine coolant temp sensor. If that's off, the computer will supply the wrong air/fuel mix. Also, check for vacuum leaks

Could be a crankshaft postion sensor ,have you tried that ? Or some other sensor that is an input to the PCM , one that receive voltage from the PCM's five volt reference circuit . Do you know what that is ? Like the TPS - throttle position sensor , It has three wires , one is five volt reference , one is ground to the PCM an the last is the signal to the PCM . All three wires come from the PCM . If the sensor starts to go bad it can short an bring down the five volt reference circuit shutting down the engine . The MAP , ECT , TPS ,EGR , Check for five volts at the TPS after vehicle shuts down , the gray wire , if less then five volts you have a problem in one of the other sensors . First let the TPS connector connected an back probe the five volt circuit , is it 5 volt's ? If less ,disconnect the TPS an see if it changes . I hope I'm getting this right . There are videos on youtube .
5 volt reference How to check the 5v reference circuit for short to ground Cadillac
Coil pack
yes that sounds like a bad coil it will be okay when it's cold and as it heats up it will malfunction
Why won't it start?
did you replace it with a new starter or a wrecker starter, maybe a bad starter. check the teeth on the flywheel they maybe damaged causing the starter not to engage. you may have to shim the starter. were there any shims when you pulled the original starter off.
Wont shift out of first
multiple answers for this question ,need more detail ab how this prob came to be , u can pullthe stick and smell the fluid to see if overfull , burnt fluid will have a distinguished smell , back of trans will have a vacum line ran to modulator and this could be prob if tranny has given no warning sighns

Not enough air flow. Change the air filter, Clean the throttle body with brake clean. Along with the mass air flow sensor if you have one.
I have a 5 speed wen i come off the cluch and get up to high rpm it fill like my trans is sliping
The clutch is probably worn out and slipping and needs to be replaced. With a manual transmission, if the engine revs and the car doesn't accelerate at the same pace, the clutch is slipping. This usually gets very very worse almost instantly. The clunking could be related or it could be an unrelated problem you're just noticing now that you have a slipping clutch. Has the car recently made clicking noises while turning sharp corners or in reverse? If yes, maybe a bad CV joint. If you don't have the technical aptitude to remove the transmission and replace the clutch, I suggest taking it to a shop to have them check into it. Clutches are a wear item and go bad around 90,000 miles of use.
Do I need brake fluid or a major fix?
More Serious--- like rusted out brake tubingneeds to be replaced or you blew out a flex hoseNothing to do with the event of a sudden stopThat car is so old you need lots of restorationwork i would guess, just to be safe to useMay be a good time to part with it
