Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 year 1995 5.9 liter
Most of the problems are caused by the converter. You must replace the converter when rebuilding or replaceiong the transmission. I knoe because I have several and that is the main problem, it goes out and damages the trans. I go with a heavey duty or bullit converter. I have several dodge rams with well over 300,000 miles anddo a lot of plowing and towing. I would order a heavy duty over the internet, not use the standard. Check with

1995 doddge ram 2500 v 10 cold starting problems.
until you have actually tested components like the crankshaft sensor and the ignition module and the actual fuel pressure it anyones guess. Recommening a part without any data or testing informaation can get more expensive than if you just let a shop fix it for you. Go to mitchell1diy online if you don't know what to do and you have the ability and tools to diagnose this otherwise your most likley going to end up in the shop.

My truck won't start i replaced ignition the
- This is the starter sequence on some dodge trucks
- turn the key to start
- start signal goes to computer
- computer closes a starter relay in the relay box ( underhood )
- starter relay in box triggers the starter soleniod on the starter.
- PS could there be an aftermarket alarm system on the truck?
- some alarms only interupt the starter signal

I have no brake lights or turn signal but i have
It sounds like your fuse is blown. Brake lights and turn signals have a different circuit than the headlights. Check the fuse first if that doesn't work look for shorts in the wiring. If you have a plug-in for a trailer hookup one of the wires may have come loose and grounded out.

My 1995 dodge ram 1500 takes a while to turn over
If I'm upstanding you your truck is cranking but not firing up.
So try this turn your key on but not all the way to start for 15 seconds do this 3 times then start it. If it start right away You may need a fuel pump. What I have seen is some fuel pumps have check valves that go bad and the pressure bleeds off. Always replace fuel filter at the same time.
Do you have any warning lights on after truck is started?
Keep in mine it takes a few seconds for lights to go out after engine is running that's okay.
If you do have any lights on after running take to a parts store that offers free check of your system.
Autozone is one but many will do this now.

I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 that when i start it
Have you checked the engine codes? On your 95 ou can by turning the enigne switch on and off 3 times quickly and then back on. Do not start engine. Then count the flashes to get any codes out of the computer. You can find the codes by searching the internet easly.

Will a 88 dodge van 5.9 liter transmission fit in
physically it will fit ,, but you run into problem with the fuel delivery and sensors because of the years difference,,, you will have to use the intake off the 95 but use 5.9 injectors and use all the sensors off the 95

When turning the ignition on it the starter
Go to your local auto parts store and purchase a repair manual with the wiring schematic in it. It will show you the exact wire you are looking for. When replacing it purchase the same guage & color wire so there will not be any problems or confusion if later repairs are needed.
