Where is the brake light switch located on the 1997 dodge neon
THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS DOWN AT THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHEN DOWN BY THE PEDAL LOOK UP TOWARDS THE UNDER SIDE OF THE DASH YOU WILL SEE AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ATTATCHED TO A SWITCH THAT IS ACTIVATED WHEN THE PEDAL ARM IS PUSHED DOWN. HOPE THIS HELPS. FYI. THIS SWITCH IS USUALLY IN THE SAME LOCATION ON MOST VEHICLES.
What should i check first
The shifter cables and their ends are the same caliber as the rest of these cars. If the cable isn't broken at one end or the other, you can try this fix. Beware: this is an omen:sell the car while it runs!

Some models have an external fuel filter that should be replaced also. Otherwise you will have to do a fuel pressure test to see if it supplying enough pressure (even though it's new) and volume.

Dodge neon timing
u need to put number one piston all the way to the top. u can take out the sparkplug and put a screwdriver in the hole. move the crank till piston reaches the top. then line up the timing marks and reinstall the chain.
How to time a dodge neon
You time buy replacing timing belt . This puts crankshaft and camshaft together. As belts get older they stretch, this will put timing off. Belts should be changed every 60,000 miles for that reason. If you've gone longer it's time to get it done. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
P0122 code comes up but we replaced the sensor and it is still coming up
Code 122 means the signal coming from the throttle position sensor to the engine computer is low or out of range. If you have replaced the sensor and it is calibrated, the problem could be in the wiring back to the computer. The sensor is telling the computer the throttle is not in the correct position, or not sending a signal at all.
