Does not turn over
Do you it will not spin over with starter or that it spins but will not fire up?
2002 dodge intrepid problems
If your headlights turn on and seem as bright as they should be or you've already checked battery and connections... Then turn ignition switch on depress brake pedal move shifter to neutral then key to start... or hold key in start position and foot on brake and wiggle shifter in and out of Park
My 2002 Dodge Intrepid will start quickly on cold days, but not on hot days, or as the weather heats up in the afternoon! Why?
A good mechanic should have access to proper manual (if they don't already know proper flow of current) that has diagram for that circuit, that will allow him to use a simple multimeter to check different points for voltage, to determine exactly where trouble spot is. Proper cable adjustment and finding out if current running in and out of safety neutral /back-up switch when required, is where I would look first. I'll look for a wiring schematic for that circuit that you can print out and take with you. Hopefully I can find the right one. Have you tried starting it while holding key to start, and slowly moving shifter all the way back and forward, and listen for even a quick engagement try of starter?
Brown stuff leaking under car
ide def say oil leak check seals and hoses n sorry to say unless u have the 3.2 u might be in trouble the 3.5 and i believe the 2.7 both have sludge issues that form in engine
Battery size
Seller should have proper size listed but Interstate recommends 700-800CCA . I would stay within those cold cranking amps. (CCA)
Error codes P0088 and P0251
Code 88 is for the fuel pressure being too high.
Code 251 is for a problem with the fuel volume / quantity sensor which measures the amount of fuel in the line.
Car is still drivable, but code P0700 is coming
The p0700 is a generic code for a transmission issue. If there is a Auto Zone around your area, have the car scanned for any DTC codes since it's free of charger there. Check the transmission fluid level after going for a drive to warm it up. Make sure that the transmission fluid is not low and that it's not burnt. If your due for a transmission service, take it to a transmission shop to have the transmission fluid and filter changed. Ask them to hook up the tech 2 scanner on the car to look for any DTC codes that indicates why the P0700 was triggered.
Good luck and hope this helps, most transmission shop will scan for free of charger if your getting the transmission serviced there. Keep me posted, be glad to help.
