I have a 2006 FOrd

Take it to an auto parts store and have them read the trouble codes. Most do it for free. But DON'T follow the advice they give! They alway recommend replacing any sensor that's listed in the code. Since this happened right after a fill up, I'm guessing it's most likely an EVAP code. Read this post on what that means. Then post the code here and we can help. My 2006 Freestar was hesitating (or sort of

Sounds a lot like the fuel pump for a starter. When it acts up does the vehicle jerk or buck before picking up speed? I have also had the experience with just one spark plug wire or plug bad. You can check this by pulling each wire one at a time while engine is running. If the motor slows that plug and wire are fine. If no change in rpm check the plug and wire.

Sliding door stuck partially open

You would get to the door mechanism from inside the car. Yes the handle inside will have a screw or two. The inside paneling is held on with hidden poppers. The plastic of these will be brittle by now so you will break some pulling it off. You can get a sort of mini crowbar with a handle for leavering these off. Inside you will find the door sealed with polythene stuck down with sticky glue, peal that back to get to the mechanism. You will be able to operate the rods and whatnot. I expect a rod has fallen off.

How can i change factory reset number so no one knows how to open up the freestar van 06

There is no way to modify the factory programmed number, but if you want to change from that one to your own programmed number, do as follows;
  1. First enter the manufacturer's code. Doing so will unlock the driver's door.
  1. Next within 5 seconds depress the 1*2 key on the keypad. This will cause the locks to lock then unlock.
  1. Enter your new 5-digit code. Each digit of the 5-digit code must be entered within 5 seconds of each other. Once entered, give it a second or two for the codes to register. You'll know they registered once the car locks then unlocks.
