1992 pontiac bonniville ssei 3800
It depends on the severity of the damage to the Turbo. It is not common for turbo bearings to damage an engine, since they are not normally made like regular bearings with rollers. It is however common for tiny bits of the rotor to sometime chip off and get into the intake as the . In most cases they are crushed and blown out as they are made of a very thin metal. Again, this usually only occurs when you ignore signs of a failing Turbo and continue to run the engine without repairing the problem. This could result in catastrophic Turbo failure and then mate you could be in some serious problems. Inspect the turbo vanes after you take it out , a little chipping on the edges is is OK
Why wont me 1992 Pontiac
not enough details... I'll do my best guess though:
does the shifter move and the transmission not "catch"? If so -- you have either a broken wire leading into the transmission solenoid, bad solenoid in the transmission,. no oil, low oil,. or otherwise if the linkage from the shifter broke or in need of adjustment..

Hello my dash board security system gauge has
The security system (VATS/Passkey) installed on these GM cars is anti-owner more than an anti-theft. There are 3 parts involved:
- The chip-key
- The lock cylinder
- The TDM (aka the brain of the system)
if any of these parts fails or is even slightly malfunctioning, the car stays stuck where you are and you only get a dealer asking you about 1,000$ to fix it. And all the 3 parts have a quite short lifespan.
Way too many people got in this situation (including myself). I don't recommend any partial solution or any used parts as it would happen again way too soon to be acceptable and if it happens 100 miles from home (like it happened to me....) it's a big burden.
I finally made it to save my beloved 94 Park Avenue (with the exact same system that is installed in your car) with a solution that I found on the internet and that bypasses the entire factory security system, all 3 pieces altogether and you can even remove the TDM at the end and use 99c keys without chip. The product I used is at
http://newrockies.com and is still working perfectly after 5 years. Don't go to the dealer!
Ineed to replace my motor
there are three motor mounds one in front of engine one on the side and the other is at bottom of engine they look like a big donout but really is just a round piece of rubber ,jack up car ,set on horse stands ,chock rear tire for safety once on stands with hydraulic jack and a piece of ply wood so you wont damage oil pan jack motor up till you take preassure of mounds loosen bolt on mounds you might need to hold one side of bolt so that it wont spin on you same procedure for all three ,and as for muffler you need some one that has a welding equiptment good luck
My car wont start, nothing, dead .. battery is
check the ignition wire to the starter(smaller wire ,purple color) with the key in start position with a 12 volt test light test to see if it lights up . if it doesnt you know its in the ignition feed
I have a 1992 pontiac
It sounds like a couple of things may be going on.
1. Check the water in the batt. Some times a battery will not hold a charge if it's low on water ( BE VERY CAREFUL batteries have acid in them that can be very dangerous if your not careful. Let a mechanic do this if you are not sure)
2. Check your connections- Make suer they are tight and free of corrosion
3. Check your alternator. If it's not working properly then it will not charge your battery correctly.
4. your battery may have a dead cell.
You can take it to AutoZone and they will test your battery and alternator for free.
Trying to figure out how
they used two different ignition systems on the older v-6 engines. One is called a magnovox ignition and is identified by having one coil pack assembly. If one coil goes bad the whole coil assembly will need to be replaced. There are 6 bolts holding it to the module and a torx or a 5.5mm socket will be needed to remove them.
The other system uses 3 individual coils. There will be two bolts/screws for each coil. Once the screws are removed the coil can be pulled up and off of the module. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Where is the orifice tube
the connector for the line that goes from the condenser to the evaporator. (rf corner, under hood) (smaller of the 2 lines)
Engine missing at idle.....sometimes will
Start with new spark plugs, wires and distributor cap. If it wasn't for the missing at idle comment, the hard starting is usually caused by a fuel pump going bad. Don't know if yours is electric or not, but either type will have that symptom.
So start with the easiest.
How do i fix my
You replace it, and it is up under the dash. You will need to get a repair manual, i suggest ebay as a cheap source, there are a lot of steps involved and pictures help. search on youtube for videos of other folks doing it. you may want to pay a shop to do it..
