1986 dodge d100 225 engine dodge oil light goes off when idle stays on when giving it gas

It sounds like the oil sending unit is bad. the safest way to check it is to pull out the sending unit and install an oil pressure gage directly to the motor start it up, bring the RPMs up and see what the oil pressure is. Ideally you want at least 15 psi at an idle and prefereably anything above 25 psi at crusing RPM.

Why does my truck speed while driving

You don't mention it but I think you should have a carburetor on that motor. Do a fuel flow check to make sure you are getting enough fuel at higher rpms. check the float bowl for the carburetor to make sure it is not partially blocked. But I will say it sounds like you could have low compression. I would have the compression check and also do a leak down check on each cylinder. Also have your antifreeze checked for hydrocarbon in case you have a leaking head gasket. Also make sure the oil is uncontaminated as well. If all

Brake lights work, when headlights

This is commonly an earthing problem, but can also be caused by a wrong bulb or blown bulb.
Check all bulbs, and that they are tight in their bulb holders, with clean contacts.
The stop\tail bulbs can short out inside the glass from one filament to the other.
Bulbs sometimes look black when the burn out
and try earthing the light assemblys with a small test lead( with an aligator clip either end)

There is a wobble at about 35 miles an hour but

Most low speed wobbles are caused by a tire becoming out of round as it wears down the tread. Probably a front tire. Jack the tire just till it is off the ground and turn the tire looking at the clearance of the tire above the ground. Notice how much it changes as you go around. Try this with each tire to find the problem.

Tread separation will also cause this. The above procedure will also work for this.

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram.. I Keep trying and eventually it starts. I have replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay. Once it gets started and warms up then I have no trouble starting it.

If you're experiencing difficulty starting your 2012 Dodge Ram, even after replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay, there may be several other possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the Battery: A weak battery can cause starting issues, especially in colder temperatures. Check the battery voltage and consider replacing the battery if it's not holding a charge or is more than a few years old.
  2. Inspect the Ignition System: The ignition system includes the spark plugs, ignition coils, and spark plug wires. If any of these components are worn, damaged, or corroded, it could cause starting problems. Check these components and replace them as necessary.
  3. Check the Fuel System: While you've already replaced the fuel pump and fuel relay, it's possible that there is still an issue with the fuel system. Check the fuel pressure to make sure it's within the manufacturer's specifications. If it's too low, there could be a problem with the fuel filter or fuel injectors.
  4. Check the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: The engine coolant temperature sensor can affect the fuel system and cause starting problems if it's faulty or not reading the engine temperature correctly. Check this sensor and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the Starter Motor: The starter motor could be failing or not engaging properly, which could cause starting problems. Check the starter motor and have it tested if necessary.
If none of these suggestions resolves the issue, it's recommended to take your vehicle to a certified mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.

Red lightning bolt on 2008 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi truck won't start, drove it to the vets came out and nothing...

The lightning bolt on the dash means that there is a problem with the electronic throttle control system in your vehicle. Get a code reader and scan the engine for any logged codes. The light may be on for a glitch and the electronic throttle control system needs to be reset. To reset the Dodge Ram throttle position sensor(TPS), You need to turn on the ignition without Your foot on the brake, so the engine doesn't start. Then press the accelerator on the floor for 15 seconds. Release the accelerator. Then turn the car off and start the engine and drive.

What color is the fuel pump wires on 2010 ram

Hello. The positive polarity (+) color wire for the fuel pump on your Dodge truck can be any color except black. The negative polarity (-) color wire is, usually, black. Those 2 main fuel pump wires are a thicker gauge than the other wires. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
