That's a very high rpm for an idle! It should be between 700 to 9oo rpm. This truck needs a tune up, at least!

Under the hood by battery, there should be a black box pull the top off and it's in there along with your abs relay

You have a bad valley pan gasket, not very expensive to fix at all, it is located under the intake manifold, happened to me and almost everyone I know that has this truck, goodluck

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

THE HEATER WILL ONLY RUN ON HIGH SPEED

Now thats interesting. I assume you are using the gauge on the dash to judge the engine temp, but you also said before you have no heat. The gauge could be off, but you would know by the radiator hoses if the engine is warming up or not.Assuming the new thermostat is not defective, the coolant would have to be bypassing it somehow. I would want to make sure there is no air pockets in the cooling system, and see if both radiator hoses are cool.

could be air in the system or the thermostat could be in up sidedown .

unbolt the catalytic converter they might be clocked up. unbolt the down pipes both side of the exhaust and drive the truck if its getting pass 2000 rpm its the cat if not then check the fuel filter

exhaust gas recirculation valve it is part of the emission control system. it return any fue rich exhaust gases to the engine to reburn them.
