Cylinder layout 1500 ram 3.7 v6
Hey guys, so I've got the 2003 dodge ram 1500 3.7L v6, I've always dreamed of having me a blacked out dodge ram and finally got it but damn I found out real quick why I got a good deal, the ball joint's and tie rod ends were well let's just say wayyy past their expiration, the tires were from first glance not bad but close look had bald spots so had to get 4 new ones, but I'm rambling my issues I need some input on are 1. Squeaky belt/fan?? I have greased all I could grease without covering serp. Belt and yes, the belt is like brand new I've seen others with similar problems and researched and searched and nobody has came out with a solution!? 2. With this type engine and exhaust system... what's some reasonably cheap things I can do to enhance performance and torque, i have acquired the tune up chip and fuEl treatments, transmission treatment as well! Guys any feedback would be very appreciated thanks!!
I have a 2005ram srt10,when I put a ohm meter on the negative terminal and the hot lead on the meter to the fender I am reading voltage.
You should disconnect the battery first as you appear to have a short. Look for a broken or damages wiring harness around the fender. Where does the ground originate that you had taken "loose"? Did you fix anything recently or hit anything? Did you check that the red (positive) cable is attached to the positive (+) terminal on the battery? How much voltage were you seeing at the fender? did you test with a test light (tests the voltage potential under load)? Is your ground cable from the battery to the chassis and to the engine in good condition with tight fitting bolts?
My 1990 dodge ram van,318 ci eng.starts only when cold.Starter turns o.k.Runs well whe hot.Paul.
My first car was a 1969 Dodge Coronet station wagon with the 318 cubic inch engine. Loved it!
In my experience, the most common reason for this behavior is a bad crank or cam position sensor (assuming your car has one of those), since they tend to fail hot.
Another possibility is that a dirty or worn ignition switch is supplying power to starter, but not the engine, when it gets warm. Try spraying with WD-40 to see if that helps.
1996 1500 dodge ram v8 magnum won't start. I have
If it cranks good but won't start, make sure battery has a full charge. Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs, gasoline engine. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Let us know what you find? I can only help with testing. You have to do the testing.
