Fuel system cuts out during daily driving

Hi this is more than a little stab in the dark, but have you replaced the inline fuel filter/s? As this sounds like fuel starvation problem, have you checked the fuel pump itself doesn't have a pin hole in its diaphragm as this will allow the flow to change & less fuel will get through which will confuse the car causing the shut off, as it waits for the fuel to collect in the correct running proportion before it restarts again, hence the delay..

Also the next step would be to check the quality of the inside of the fuel tank by sucking up some fuel from different depths of the tank & last being from the bottom of the tank, as if there is some nasty deposits or mould built up in the tank this could also cause problems within the fuel & its journey through the system....

I do hope this helps solve your problem, reply back with your results as I would be happy to hear them, many thanks....

My speedo on my 1993 dodge cummins quit working

I am no expert on this but have the same problem. Here is where I am at. I bought the truck used, needed a new PCM which after installing one from a gas job and verifying that wiring was good, bought a reman from Chrysler. Speedo still did not work even though it did with the gas PCM but was fluctuating allover. Chrysler replaced PCM and speedo started to work intermittantly. Took truck into dealer and $600. later told mechanic thought it was faulty PCM. He called Chrysler and asked them to pull one from the shelf and test. They said needed a new crankshaft speed sensor.Mechanic took truck on the road, shifted into nuetral then turned ignition back on, speedo works. Replaced crankshaft speed sensor and situation didn't change. Total spent $1000. and no speedo and no overdrive. Speedo started working intermittantly, seemed like depending on transmission temperature. Friend that works on dodge said is instrument cluster. tried another cluster still the same. Replaced ignition switch, thinking that may be the problem. Still the same. Bought a new Neutral starting switch, which I have not replaced as of yet. If I place truck in neutral and start the truck speedometer is activated right away but does not stay. So right now am down to two scenarios. The neutral starting switch or,...... the temp sensor in the oil line. Feeling is it is the neutral starting switch. By the way had already replaced speed sensor in tranny and rear end. Going to replace neutral starting switch, cost is $25. for the part and see what happens. Please keep us posted, as others are having the same problem.

Gotta 93 dodge ram 5.2 sb 4x4, it keeps popping

problem vehicles just cost money regardless of how badass they are. Having said that the way to fix the problem will be to go to a dodge wreckers ( plenty of them around) and get all the wiring harnesses connected to the engine . Be smart and disconnect and connect as you go so that you do not need a wiring diagram

Truck runs but cuts off after driving but will

hi, if the truck starts and runs fine from cold but then starts playing up when it reaches normal running temp then has trouble starting untill it has cooled down if this is the case then i would say that your oxgen sensor(or lambda sensor for its proper name) needs replacing.
The reason it points towards this is that this sensor dont start working untill the engine is more or less up to temp so if this is when you start getting problems then this is what i would get changed first.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance.

Trans lines leaking at fitting at cooler?

Hi Scott, I'm glad to help. Scott if you have the crimp style cooler hoses. Here's what you can do. Cut the crimps off while taking care not to damage the cooler itself and install regular clamps. This works very well. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Scott.

Trans lines leaking at fitting

You can cut off the end of your line and re-flare it. You can find a flare tool at most any parts store. Or you can go to a tranny shop and have a line made.

1993 Dodge 250 Cummins with

Hi, your transmission definitely could be going out. You could flush it and put in nice fluid. Check the cable and the sensors. If you have larger wheels or rims that would be a factor in it going out sooner. Also if you drove it hard it most likely would be going out right about now. Be careful though it could at this point just completely go out and you will be stuck somewhere. Look for used transmissions, that car if its rear wheel drive will be easy to drop it and replace it.
