When was the last time you had the transmission serviced,
the oil and filter, it should be changed. if you have had that done then take your car to AMCO transmission shop, they probably wouldn't charge anything to check your car.
yuck had elec problems take for ever to run through harness but that is what you have to do wire by wire testing for drops and if it doesnt happen when testing you will have to do it againg n again but in process clean and check connectors also
I hope that you have disconnected the battery fire could happen relay click's but will stick at drain could be the fuel pump you hear with the continuse click you might have a shorted starter.I think thats the first place to start.A bad ignition switch will cause this to happen sometimes?
My dad has a 96 Ram Cummings and he ended up changing a relay on the fire wall. There are two of them beside each other. If you turn your key on and go under the hood on the drivers side push up the linkage on the bottom of the actuator it should stay in place now go inside and see if it will start. That actuator has to be up or it won't start if it's not going up when you turn the key on it's that relay on the driver side firewall. O rings are cheap and replaceable, there would have to be a crack in the housing, or some catastrophic failure to have to replace the whole thing. YOU COULD PROBABLY GET ONE CHEAPLY AT A SALVAGE YARD,
Do you have a trusted independent mechanic, or one highly recommended to give you an other quote? Some dealerships only replace parts, sometimes, only replace assemblies, they don't repair anything.
best idea is to take it to an accredited ac specialist shop
was the correct gas used
did you check for leaks first
did you try to get the gas in following the correct procedure
You have not down a scan of the TCM (transmission control module) for fault codes, you need that done first before throwing away money on parts that don't fix the problem.
the speedo and odometer are both worked from the VSS ( (vehicle speed sensor)
check for the reason of metal on the sensor end
could have an internal problem that is not allowing the shifting down so have the transmission check out bat an accredited transmission shop
