I HAD THE SAME thing happen to me I blue the to fuse in ihe fuse box under the hood but the resion thay blew was because the wiring for the traler lights had rubed the frame tell thay were shorting out on it check this first befor you chaing the multy switch an all that outher stulf should save you some time an I bleve it is what is going on

the first thing I would check is the engine coil if it is firing than don't wast your time go ahead an pull the bolts loos don't tack them out between the catalytic converter cut you a wege shaped pice of wood stick it in ther to holed it open only for testing perpesases crank it up an test drive it mine did the same thing an it took me a will to figer it out cuse it semend to be working but it was not I replacet it an it works fine just a thought hop this helps

drain your oil and check the strainer and the oil pump the strainer may be clog or the oil pump on its way out

Check your Egr valve for carbon buildup. Also check intake manifold for plenum gasket failure , to check , you must open the throttle plate ,on throttle body . Look down there and see a large amount oil , that's drawn in under vacuum . This gasket fails quite often.

It's located in the liquid line between the condenser and evaporator. It can not be removed. You must replace this line.

P0138 is code for o2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2. This sensor is the one behind the cat on the side of the engine that contains cylinder No 1.

cranks ok but wont start and battery is charged to 12.6v dc rested?> and wont jumper cable start>>>>>>?????????????????????? which engine>? start with gas cap off? 2 problems, if wont start cap off. tank vent system issues, 522 is the one. P0522 Dodge - Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage the PCM sees no oil pressure and refused to start. sounds like a winner there. huh.? ok, so check oil pressure. if good , then the switch is bad, or wires to it bad, fell off. My Chevy did this. The problem was the headers were overheating the starter solenoid. The fix was to put a heat shield around the starter and solenoid.

First thing to do is get a wiring diagram of your electrical system on that vehicle. Find the correct circuit for the dome light. Now, Check your fuse, and bulbs. If ok, check the circuit from power to ground. Set your DVOM/DMM to Ohms and check for unwanted resistance down the circuit. I'm sure you have an open switch or short to ground somewhere in the circuit.

Very first thing, check your oil. Even if it is a little low, when making a turn, the oil will shift and starve the oil pump making your oil warning light come on. This is a common problem on that modal Ram! My 1999 Ram 1500 would do the same thing. I check my oil regulatory, even with the oil 1/2 way in safe range on the dip stick, the oil warning light would come on when making turns. I have to fill my engine all the way up to the top mark in the safe range on the dip stick to keep this from happening. Be careful not to over fill. If this continues, you may have a bad oil pump/pick up. I would almost bet, you are have the same problem I had. Good Luck.

If its a 4x4 remove rear drive shaft from vehicle, remove large nut (pinion nut) at front of diff which is generally hidden when driveshaft is in place. with a bearing puller remove pinion bearing replace with new one, install new pinion seal reinstall pinion cover and pinion nut tighten to specified torgue reinstall driveshaft check diff oil for proper amount

You will find it on driver side of the instrument panel near the steering column. This module doesn't fail that often , I found the multi-function switch the cause of this problem.

3.9L V-6 ,5.2L 5.9L V-8 the crankshaft sensor is located near passenger side rear of the cylinder head on the engine block.

I have a 1996 dodge ram 5.9L. The coil is not getting juice to it. Fuses are good. Please Help

This is the best advice I can give to any DIYer. Buy a subscription to All Date for the make and model of your vehicle. I think they give you up to 2 vehicles, maybe 3 for around $45 a year. This is the same sight that meany of your Independent Shops use, the only difference is it runs them $2500 a year simply because at that price they have access to just about every make and model vehicle. You can go to the symptom chart and search for the problem you have, and track the problem down by running the listed pinpoint test. Mitchell on Demand is another, but I couldn't tell you which one is better.

sounds like the vavle is bad

sounds like your lock up converter is kicking on and off. a shift kit could help. just take it to your transmission shop and be done with it.
