My battery died and now with the remote key or overhead console the power doors not opperating including the lift hatch, tried to reset per ford and change the number 11 fuse no luck must be another rest? Any suggestions
1) Unlock all doors from driver's door while it is open. The driver's door is the only door to remain open during this process! 2) Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. All the doors will lock and unlock if program is successful. 3) Turn key OFF and remove key from ignition. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. (Press sliding door or rear hatch and it will open!) 4) If door locks do not respond, wait several seconds and press button again. If doors still fail to respond, try repeating steps (1-3).

how do you adjust the headlights on this vhicle?
hello wwhampton,
open the hood, take a close look at your headlights, if it is a headlight assembly, there are two screws with big plastic heads on the back of the assembly, these are the adjusting screws. one for horizontal adjustment and the other one is for vertical adjustment.
if the headlight is a round or square ordinary bulb, the adjusting screws are located near the bulb itself, these are philips screws. one on the top and one on the side.
a suggestion; when adjusting headlights, face the car to a wall about 5 ft away and adjust the headlight.
tnx 4 using fixya.

Everytime I get gas it starts to fill the tank and then after a while the gas spills out. I have to listen to it when I'm filling up tank. It acts like it does when the pump is about to shut off because tank is full. Could my fuel system have a problem? I have gone to 4 different gas stations thinking it was their pumps.
It is the filler neck it causes splash back.

my freestar tire rest light came on. checked and inflated tires to 44 psi as the tire said shoud be in them. the rest light is still on. how do I get it to turn off or reset?
Reset without message center:
To reset turn the ignition to the ON position, depress and Trip/odometer
button (located in the instrument cluster) until “TIRE RESET” or
“CHECK TIRE AND RESET” is displayed in the odometer display window.
Once “TIRE RESET” or “CHECK TIRE AND RESET” is displayed,
press and hold the button for three seconds. The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times
as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reset with message center:
To reset turn the ignition to the ON position, press the set up button on
the message center until “SYSTEM CHECK” is displayed. Press the
RESET button until “HOLD RESET TO RELEARN” is displayed, continue to hold the button for three
seconds. The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.

Where is the low tire reset button located on a 2005 ford freestar?
It is on the same button as the Trip Odometer. Cycle through until you see Tire Reset and hold the button down.

getting p0193 code for my 2005 ford freestar se
P0193 is "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input"
Meaning: Car's computer is reading input voltage from the FRP (Fuel Rail Pressure) sensor as
voltage out of the acceptable range, because the voltage is too above the acceptable range.
assuming you are running gasoline...
check for fuel in the vacuum hose of the FRP sensor after running engine at idle for 2 minutes. if not, check fuel pressure. Check fuel pressure by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader
connector on the fuel rail, which you will find under a small (black, usually) plastic protective cap.
If the fuel pressure is indeed too high, your fuel pressure regulator has gone bad.
if fuel pressure is good, check voltage between Sensor connector Vref (Pin#3 LB (light blue)) and
Signal Return (Pin#4 GY/RD (gray/red)), which should be 4.0V-5.5V with key ON.
The acceptable voltage range from the FRP sensor to the car's computer is 4.0-5.5 volts.
What the P0193 code is saying is that the voltage from the FRP sensor is over 5.5 volts,
and therefore it's "High Input."
If voltage from the FRP sensor is bad (out of range high, presumably), then replace the FRP
sensor and reset the OBD-II code.
If the voltage output from the FRP sensor is also good, the car's computer is kaflooey, so
you'd need to replace the car computer (which is costly), so replace the car's computer as a
last resort.

The back hatch door won't open. I have the panel off and it looks like the mechanisms are working but the latch will not release. I think it is the actuator but I'm not sure. How do I manually open it? I cannot get in there to pop the latch open nor can I see the latch.
drill the lock out and by a new one

it rained last night,it always ran fine before,i also heard the pcm could be getting moisture do to a bad design
A flashing engine light usually indicates a misfire or several misfires. If the ignition components (coils, wires, distributors...) some how become exposed to moisture it is possible to get a rough running engine due to misfire(s) cause by arcking.

I have a 2004 Freestar van. Naturally we use the unlock button on the driver's or passenger's door to unlock the rear hatch, which has no mechanical lock override of its own. The unlock button stopped tripping the back door lock, slowly at first and now it never works. Helpless to open the back hatch. But all four other locks respond fine (from either door front). I have removed the inner hatch door panels and have a good view of the entire locking assembly. But, does anyone know what the most likely failed part is?
check the wiring at the top were the door opens it will be a broken wire
