Replaced the alternator in my 94 escort a couple
Best thing to start with is check the battery connections to make sure they are clean and tight. If they are good use a volt meter to measure battery voltage. You should see 12.5 volts with everything turned off. then check it with the headlights turned on. If voltage drops than the battery is dead. You can also try jumpstarting the vehicle. Once the vehicle is started measure voltage at the battery. You should see around 14 volts with the engine running. If you don't than the alternator may not be working. Where is the
Ground wire for Blower motor
Your ground is supplied through the switch itself. Below is the wiring diagram for your blower motor circuit for your Escort. As you can see by the red arrows I put that, that is the ground. It goes from the switch to the resistor and then to the blower motor by what looks like only one wire. If the blower motor isn't working check that ground and what looks like 2 fuses for that circuit. Also you can check the resistor which may be bad. Also with the models supplied with A/C, power is supplied through the powertrain control module so you will want to check the orange and blue wirie at the switch to make sure you have power there. I HAVE A 94 ford escort that is leaking antifreeze on the drivers side floor
there is only so many things that can cause this and are you sure its anti-freeze and not washer fluid.just something else.a damaged heater core is usually what causes a leak inside the car.when the heater cores were replaced did the shop say there were signs of them leaking or couldn`t see anything.the other is coolant from a previous leak could have spray aroung the air ducting in the dash and has finally found a way out.but this should have been gone shortly afterwards and usually there is only a mist that is sprayed into the air ducts which usually shows up on the inside of the windows,so i don`t think this is the problem.if the hose clamps are loose were the hoses are fastened to the heater core spigots/tubes it could be leaking inside the cars air duct.and yes its unusall for anti-freeze to leak onto the drivers floor but stranger things have happened.
The rear passenger wheel wont turn. it is locked

If you have access to a jack, and some kind of blocking (for safety), remove the wheel,and with a hammer, rap firmly around the break drum. Be careful not to strike the studs that hold the wheel on. Maybe want to screw the lug nuts back on a way so as not to damage the stud threads in case you hit them with the hammer.
By sitting the brakes have gotten "frozen" sort of rusted to the drum. The rapping of the hammer usually frees up the brake shoes.
Make sure the parking brake cable is not rusted tight also.

Battery indicator dash light on then sudden loss of power and lights etc
Never rinse the battery terminals or squirt water in the engine area of your car. If you get certain parts in the engine wet, the car cannot run. You might have wet something electrical that may work correctly again once it dries out completely.Get a wire brush and pliers or a screw driver (depending on the type of battery terminal connections you have on your car) to remove all of the debris/corrosion on the posts correctly. Use the pliers or the screw driver to loosen the posts so you can remove them (one at a time). Life the post off of the battery & use the wire brush to remove everything on the post itself on top of the battery to the connector that is attached to the battery cable. Brush until you see a nice, clean metal connection free of rusty dust or corrosion. Reattach the battery cable and repeat the process on the other terminal. Once the terminals & connections are clean, you will need to jump start your battery in order to get the car to start again. Find a pair of battery cables & have a friend bring their car and park it as close to your engine as possible. Have them leave their car running. Open their hood and put the jumper cables on each terminal on their battery. Make sure you put the right color cable on the right terminal. then connect the other side of the jumper cables to the battery in your car. Have your friend press their gas pedal a couple of times to rev their engine, then try to start your car. continue until your car starts. then wait a few minutes to make sure your car battery gets enough of a charge to stay running. Leave your car running and disconnect the jumper cables. Driver your car around for a fifteen to twenty minutes to recharge the batter fully. If not, when you turn it off it will be dead again and it wont start.If the car starts and the battery stays charged then your problem is solved. If you cannot get the car to turn over or hold a charge you might need to replace your alternator.Good luck!

the passenger side of the motor .Follow the top radiator hose when you get to the motor its rite there.

Check and make sure that your fan on the radiator is coming on.when it gets hot do you hear anything like a fan running if not its probably a coolant fan relay. If your ac is working when it starts to heat up turn it on and you sould hear a fan runing and it sould start cooling down if you dont then check fuses .I wish I was close to you and I could check it out for you and save you some money .I have 3 in college and 1 just starting to drive .Been mec. for 35 years .If you want to email me and I will try to tell you what to do

Hi, You maybe able to repair some of the wires. But you still need to find why it did that. It would have to be a short some where. You can buy new wiring harnesses from your local auto parts stores.
Wheres the fuel pump relay located at on a 1994
Check the fuel pump reset which is usually on the drivers side in the trunk under the mat. By-pass it and see if the fuel pump will start.They can become corroded and may be your problem. Fuel pump relay should be under the hood and marked as FI or Fpump etc. New Answer: the relay is in front of the shifter under the dash if you get the panels off (shifter cover , lower center panel and left center panel you can see it and the PCM power relay if you lay on passenger floor and look to rear of center area.

soundsa like the starter or the fender mounted solioid is malfunctioning. Does anytrhing clich as you turn the key to start? If theirs no click at all you might look and the starter relay ( solioid) it's located near the battery and it has the positive battery cable connected to it. Also notice the most common no start is the battery cables aren't making good connection to the battery or the battry is too low as it may be low on charge. Have the battry tested or if handy to do see if it starts normally with jumper cables connected to a running car. If it starts just fine the battery or the charging system needs to be looked into. it it tris to start and crnks slowly and makes bad noises the starter is likly bad. If it had been starting just fine and this happened all the sudden the cables connected to the battery or the battery failing are the most likly.
How do you replace just
.It's an easy change, just disconnect the battery, put the key in acc setting and push in on the pin that holds it in should be a small hole on bottom of lock cylinder. in the lock set and pull the lock out.The new unit will come with instructions. good luck !
