Power steering pump has a part that connects to it that appears to need tightening but doesnt.. this is the source of the leak ..what is this part called and how do you fix it
Well here's my 2 cents. When you say it won't tighten, are the threads stripped and it just spins or is it as tight as it will go and still leaking? Is it's stripped, I'd recommend replacing the part(s) with damaged threads. The pressure line is around 40 bucks at Autozone. pump is 49-57, depending on which steering you have. Get the pump with the reservoir, not the bare pump.
If it's not stripped, just leaking...try to pull that pressure hose head off and look for any damage to any seals, metal, O-ring, etc. You might get lucky and just have to replace a cheap O-ring. If you do, put a little oil on the O-ring before you put it back together.
My LTD had all kinds of power steering leaks and I ended up getting most all new parts before I got it to completely seal up. It was a nightmare. Read and heed the other post about how to get the air out of the system when you're finished. Fords can be notoriously loud on power steering pumps. I'd avoid Cardone brand if you can help it. I found their quality to be very suspect.

Power steering systems leaking¬ working
Sounds like you will need to replace the power steering pump at the very least. Finding where the leak is coming from would help in determining which parts need replaced. The age of the vehicle would suggest that the seals are going bad.

How to remove a center console in a 1994 thinderbird
You must first remove the trim of the lower part of the steering whel cover (the trim colored part), then remove the three cover trim screws of the instrument cluster trim, next the radio and A/C cover trim (careful with the clock and the A/C control connectors, specially with the vacuum connectors) then there are two screws in the lower part of that trim that you should remove.. then unscrew the two screws in the console.... you need to unscrew them with the console door opened, then close it to firmly grasp it an then lift it up (Careful with the cigar lighter connector). Hope it helps.

Creating an access hole for the fuel tank in a Thunderbird 4.6 V8.
i would not recommend that. dropping the tank is better because it gives you the chance to clean things before removal to keep down the amount of contaminants that will drop into the tank. cutting a hole will get you replacing more components if you're not very careful.

Started car this morning and all of a sudden its
What happened on the drive before you parked it? Was the engine temperature high? Did you over heat?
My concern is the white smoke because it could be evidence of a coolant leak into the combustion chamber. Check your coolant level to make sure all the coolant is still in the car. Then check the oil and examine not only the level, but also make a close visual inspection. If the head gasket is compromised coolant could have gotten into the oil and that will make the oil look milky. With engine idling, watch the temperature closely and be sure it doesn't overheat.
If the engine does not overheat, you may be able to limp it to an auto parts store for them to read the OBDII codes that set the MIL.
Most of them will scan the OBDII codes for you for free so you would know what the faults are. But there could be some serious issues you will have to address to fix this.

1994 ford thunderbird no power at heater blower motor control module
I've had the same problem with my 1994 Cougar XR7. It wasn't the module control. It wasn't the fan. It was a bleepin' inline fuse; a 30. Changed the fuse and everything was working fine. That's after I had purchased a new fan motor and electronic control module. None of the book or web pages I have read mentioned that fuse, which for some reason, Ford didn't put in the fuse box with the others. So, check your inline fuse, it may be just that. And it is located past the fuse box under the dash. It'll be the same thing for the T-Bird.
