Have a 2002 ford taurus
do you have a small propane torch? or a can or throttle body cleaner or anything similar? Spray the propane(Just the gas, do nit light it) or throttle body clean, slowly around the engine and if there is a vacuum leak the rpm will rise when the propane fumes or throttle body spray gets sucked in and you know it will be in that area. Anywhere from the front of the motor to the sides to all the way behind, it might not be a vacuum hose, could be an intake manifold leak. Smelling fuel when shutting off can be a different problem all together.

The description you give is a bit puzzling. A leak usually will continue to leak unless it is repaired. Bringing up the fluid level will only help until the fluid runs out again. Find a reputable place to seek service.
You are often better off going to a Dealer or multi-service repair place. Consider this, in many instances if you go to a specialty shop you will only receive that specialty. If they have no other service to offer you, they may perform a service you do not need as it is the only service they perform. An honest place would send you to another shop.
Car not able to stay on.
If battery keep dying in few hours then check if there is something drawing battery while car is of. It could be something easy like broken switch on door which leaves lights on to faulty computer which doesn't turn off . Sometimes those things are almost impossible to find and chaperone is to disconnect battery when leaving car overnight. Just make sure there is not electrical short somewhere which may cause car fire. Also is good idea to park car in quiet place, tur it off and listen for anything running, like radiator fan, ac blower etc.
2002 Ford Taurus auto headlights
I had one headlight come on by itself....Never figured it out..But I pulled the light fuse out after parking to keep my Battery good... After a while I didn't have to do it anymore...Weird
The instrument cluster lights are not working in
This is usually due to a connector terminal that is loose in the connector. It might even be the connector right on the back of the cluster. The female end of the connector has terminals that the pins on the female side slip into. When the terminals are not set in the connector, they slip back causing an intermittent connection.
Blower only runs on high
Ignition switch is the culprit. On Fords for high speed blower motor is direct whereas the lower speeds go through the ignition switch. If there is an issue with the switch the blower will only work at high speed. A schematic will confirm that.
The check engine light is
Was the fuel level sensor checked? U may have a vacuum leak in the emissions control system if sensor is good. (poss bad gas cap) Good luck. Scan for live readings while the car is running if u can. Scanner needed
