Transmition "slipping"? 2000 frontier ext cab 12000m
Dear Kenny,
Unfortunately, you will need to get to a transmission shop a.s.a.p,
because there is a good possibility you "tranny" is about to "go out".
Be sure to carefully check the transmission fluid level right now.
If you have only 300 to go, perhaps you might rent a car to finish your trip whilst someone fixes the problem.
God bless your efforts.
Clogged converter
replace the cat converter for a start
pinging ( detonation) is from incorrect air /fuel mixture or ignition timing
run the fault doses to see what sensors are not correct
I have a 2000 nissan
the next thing i would check is locate all of the ground wires under the hood (grounded to the body) Shiny clean with sand paper and replace. while i am at it I would do the same to grounds to the frame.this may solve your problem . If your grounds are not well connected you will spend many UNESSARY dollars in parts and labour.
Starts and runs fine. If I turn off and try to restart, why does it act as though flooded?
If the fuel pump runs, even with the key off, it might drain the battery, but, how would it flood the engine? The fuel injectors are what adds the fuel.
Can you check for applicable codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, plus, see if pressure will hold for a bit, with everything off. If pressure drops like a rock, then check for fuel pressure leak, could be fuel injector leaking or fuel pressure regulator leaking--it may leak back through fuel pump? What I am suggesting is that you do some testing.
I don't usually like to talk to frustrated people, because they usually take it out on me. I'm just trying to help.
It wont start with ignition but can clutch start and run fine what wrong with ignition
nothing wrong with the ignition but there is with the battery
when trying to start from the key , the battery falls below that required to start and run the ignition system but with a push start there is enough voltage to run the ignition system and then the alternator cuts in to supply power to all the rest
have a load test done on the battery
Heater core flutes replace
Frank, No ones knows what your talking about here in the USA. Except junior high school kids in band and possibly me. So here you go. Two possibilities, both apply with flutes. Lets start with plenum doors. They are inside the air plenum, you have the remove the entire dash and plenum to replace them, several in there. If you only have defrost blowing, it could be a vacuum line or the A/C controller is bad. If you are talking about the vents mounted to the dash, look at them, they usually pop out. Look for the seam around the vent. Use a plastic wedge to pop them off/out. It won't damage the dash. Some are screwed into the back side. In this case you still have to remove the dash.
I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4. One day while
Could be. Does it sound kind of harsh. Should be a soft whirl sound. Could be the security system. Does the security light stay on? Do you hear the pump running after it starts? You can rent fuel pressure testers from auto parts stores.
