Its possible the fuel filter may be blocked up and constant trying has done something to the fuel pump. Have a look for a fuse which may have blown for the fuel pump.
Replace the worn battery cables and clean the battery and the posts with a wire brush. Baking soda and water.
Pay particular attention to the negative - battery cable, clean the surface under the terminal at the battery and the other end of the cable, tale it off and use wire brush and sandpaper to clean the other end of cable.
Careful, with residue from battery and cable, will eat you clothes.
One of the wires from the pos+ terminal is to the ignition and the other one is to the coil.
Good luck, Robert
Hi. If it is auto, then through the drain plug with a special tool. This is not usually an owners rask, but needs to go to a mechanic. There is no dipstick to check and fill the box.
You would need a fuel pressure gauge and the attachments to hook it into the fuel line before the injectors. You can spray carb cleaner into the throttle body to imitate the injectors, just don't spray it thru the mass air flow meter. Its possible the mass air flow meter was failing and your cleaning it finished the job. They are very precise components. There could be an air leak between the throttle body and the MAF meter. You could need a simple fuel filter too.If it will start on carb cleaner and the filter is good, you may have to get a book to troubleshoot the mass air flow meter.
You may have dirt or acid on your batter causing it to drain quicker than usual. Cleaning your battery may help. Also you said the battery is good, it may not hurt to do an acidity test which you use this special gauge that you can pick up at any auto parts store. It looks like a see through plastic cage with a squeeze bulb on it. Remove the battery cell caps and place hose of gauge in acid and pump acid into the gauge. If you are under the recommended area that will cause your battery to not hold a charge. I hope this helps.
If you don't have the owner's manual and can't see it on the fuse box cover, try going to napaonline.com and do a search for your vehicle and you may find it there.
