2001 ford explorer sport wont charge
I'm not sure if you have all of the info you need to go forward with this. The battery may be rated for 800 amps but could have less than 12 volts if the alternator is not charging it.It could have a dead cell which would keep it from holding a charge. You would need to check the charge of the battery with a volt meter, then see if the alternator is charging at 14 volts when the engine is running. The battery should be at least 12 volts with the engine off.The problem could be in the wiring from the key switch or dash gauges back to the alternator.

Tempature gauge dosent move
Either the gauge is bad or most likely the sender or the gauge is bad. I think those have a sender for each.

Need to know how wires go back on starter for 2001 ford explorer sport
the large stud:three eights copper: is the one that the battery cable goes on. the small post 'This ford has just the one' is where the signal wire goes. If you have other smaller gauge wires that have a large ring terminal they go on the lartge lug too. Hooking up your battery. positive cable on positive terminal first. tighten it up. place negative cable on negative terminal. if you get large amounts of sparks check your cabling for chafeing or dead shorts. you may get a small spark if you have a hood light on or assesory. good luck
