1991 Ford Aerostar runs fine when cold then starts missing when it warms up?
Try spraying carb cleaner around the intake if idle increases it is a bad intake gasket. It also could be a bad plug/s, wires, or low compression in one of the cylinders. At higher idle a slightly lower compression cylinder is not noticeable but after warming up the idle drops causing the cylinder to have a misfire.

Van turn over but it wont start
Check to see if there's a check engine light when you turn the key. The van can't start if the computer, and fuel pump don't start. Sometimes it could have a blown fuse, broken ground wire or a bad relay.

1991 ford areostar, broken air filter box.
if your problem started when the air box broke and you don`t want to replace it with a new one(which I wouldn`t because of price) why not go a wrecking yard and get a used one.

WONT BLOW OUT HOT AIR AND ENGINE OVER HEATS
If you get an overheating problem, the pressure in the system increases, The radiator cap has a pressure release valve to stop further damage to the system and release the pressure which gives the impression of coolant leaking out. Possible causes of overheating:- Low coolant level (a leak in the system). Thermostat not opening (need to replace). Cylinder head gasket leaking (need system pressure tested) indication of head gasket can be water in the oil, look in the oil filler cap, if there is a creamy brown sludge, indicates water present. Weather if the weather is hot, possible electric cooling fan isn't working. There is a possibility that the seal on the radiator cap is at fault (rare)

Brake warning light stays on
Either the brake fluid reservoir is low from worn down brake pads or the system has a leak or the park brake switch is stuck or damaged. Another possibility is a defective master cylinder. The brake pedal would sink under constant pressure is that is the case.
