this will happen as it gets colder.. preheater needs to reach temperature before starting..in really cold weather we used to turn the key on and off a half dozen times in order to get these glowplugs really warm enough to start these diesel trucks..

Most likely needs trans overhaul

First, you have to remove the internal door upholstery or siding. Then you can access the window riser mechanism. From there, you can remove it but you need to make some maneuvers. Your best bet is to have a auto glass shop replace them for you. But if you are a DIY, you may try it yourself.

Diesel? sounds like the Fuel system is not fully purged of air.

So it is the slave cylinder on the transmission that you need to check.

sound like engine not getting enough fuel restricted fuel filter faulty fuel pump.intake vacuum leak.stuck open egr valve.could have dead cylinder caused by bad spark plugs or wires could have faulty fuel injector.look for loose wires at alternator or ignition coil.ignition timing off.
