Look at the 8th digit on your V.I.N. or serial #. If it is a (S), (U), (1), or a (2) then it is a 3.0 liter. If it is not one of those four then it is a 3.4 liter.

run fault codes to check for cam/ crank position sensor. Check that the timing belt has not broken

You need to replace the ignition lock cylinder and/or the ignition switch actuator parts that turn the electrical switch off,on,start when the key is turned, the electrical part of the ignition is remote from the lock cylinder, it is operated by a gears and a rod.

You might need to replace the valve body clip with the upgraded (stronger) one. Ford had problems for a while with the clip breaking and not allowing the tranny to shift into O/D. Fill the sump to the full mark on the dip stick and ensure that you keep it topped up to keep it there. 1/4 on the dip stick is not enough if you want to keep the engine in one piece.. For example there will be around 4 pints in the sump to the full mark and you are running on 1 pint. That means that the oil is getting super hot and oil pressure is suffering.

Either behind the right front kick panel, or in the trunk you car has a fuel cut-off. If it recieves a hard jarring by being kicked, or the car being hit it will trip and the car will no longer run. how old is the gas, does the motor still turn. could be bad gas, battery, fuel filter

I would say noYou have a larger dia in the 225 vs: 205& a larger profile in the 65 vs: 55You could have a several issues, mostly theabs braking system, as well as the speedometer& transmission shifting

Change the sensor. Check the electric cooling fans and Relays. Some fans have 2 speeds and may not kick into high speed.The radiator operates more or less closely to the block temperature. A Laser thermometer would tell you what the operating temperature is.
