What causes the trunk not to open on Ford Focus 2003?
Here's a video I made on what all I found wrong with mine. First you want to make sure the fuse is not blown. I had to clean my trunk latch button and I show how to do that in the video. I also found the wires going to the trunk latch had split insulation and I show where I found that problem in the video.
Electric latch for tailgate on 2003 ford focus
I agree with the first answer because that's what fixed mine and I made a video on how to do it. I also found the wire bundle going to the trunk had all the wire insulation cracked open and one wire broke. Watch the video and I'll show it all.
My engine stalls out when running air conditioner
I agree that it's probably seizing up and here's a video I made on how to change the compressor. You also need to change the accumulator and orifice tube when you change the compressor. If the compressor came apart and threw chunks or metal shavings into the system, it's recommended to flush the system but that didn't happen on mine, so I don't show how to do that.
Why does the compressor for the ac on my 2003 ford focus keep clicking ?
I assume it's because your clutch is engaging and disengaging. Could be from a loose electrical plug to your compressor coil on the compressor. It could be a loose plug to the pressure sensor or a bad pressure sensor because that sensor will shut it off if the car is low on Freon causing low pressure in the system. Could be low on Freon so it's on the edge of having enough pressure to turn it on and then shuts it down again because it dips below the pressure threshold when the compressor kicks in. Could be a bad compressor coil that engages the clutch. Maybe a loose connector to the AC Button in the car or the AC Button is intermittent. Could be an intermittent relay engaging the compressor clutch. That's a good list of what all could cause it and if you end up needing to replace the compressor, I made a video on how I did it.
Why won't it get out of first gear without smoking?
Smoke from the exhaust? That's an engine problem. Blue? White? Black? Yes, it matters....
Blue likely means rings or valves. (expensive)
white likely means head gasket (coolant invasion)
black likely means fuel problems.
