The 172 code on my Snap On Modus Edge says "172 - EGO NOT SWITCHING, LEAN EXHAUST, BANK 1"
Then I also get the 176, says same thing only Bank 2.. so I have almost 90k on my '94 Crown Vic, just serviced the trans, just changed my fuel filter and cleaned the MAF sensor. I have new O2 sensors, it only requires 2, I need to put them in and see if the issue goes away.

you may have to remove an engine ,mount and allow the engine to drop sufficient to get the booster past a head or rocker cover consider the extent of the interfence as removal of a rocker cover may be all that is needed

ks.. it could be the AICV or the TPS (throttle position sensor).. DO you have any dash lights/service engine lights/ etc.. on??.. Stop by a O'Reilly, Autozone, Advance auto.. they should help you..

same answer as previous. Fuse or speed sensor but if you can, find the speed sensor and see if the harness connections are actually there and you haven't got a wire pulled off by a bit of road debris.

It probably is stuck due to corrosion. You might have to replace the bulb and socket. You could try spaying WD-40 on it and wait awhile and the try to remove it again.

I don't know that any one thing would cause these issues. As for the fuel gauge, you may need to replace the sending unit in the tank. As for the trip/odometer, you may need to replace the gears.

When the alternator went out, it may have also smoked your fusible link that the output wire is on. There are 2 or 3 fusible links on the starter relay on the passenger side fender. This is where they catch battery power from the positive cable there, or in the case of the alternator fusible link, this is where the output wire connects to battery for recharging it. The gray colored link I believe is the one on the output wire from the alternator. When a fuse link blows, the insulation on the wire may bubble or get rough spots. You cut the old one out and splice in a new fuse link. Make a soldered joint for best practice. Or just replace the whole wire and fuse link, from alternator to starter relay, from a donor car, a salvage hunt.

if its the factory system you can't do it what is wrong here did you disconnect the battery if so do it again & press your remote control if you lost your key and don't have another with the chip you can call a locksmith depending on his equipment he can extract the key codes then make you a key/s for about $250. otherwise it's tow it to the dealer for erase reprogramming and new keys $450-$500. + the tow OUCH!

Are any of the fluids low like oil or coolant. You have a leak and will have to determine what is leaking and where from
