it's either fuel pressure dropping off, have fuel filter? has it been changed ever? should be running 50-60 psi fuel pressure and does it drop off when engine is shut off?. is truck hard to start? another issue could be a bad fuel pump inertia cut off switch located passenger side above feet on firewall. if all good how many miles on truck? if over 100k when were plugs done last? it could be as simple as that.
Wont start when theft light come on
check key or use a spare key may be worn down to where not being recognized or ignition switch is worn --try tapping the ignition switch lightly so any tumblers that may be sticking may pop back into line
Died while driving will not start back up.
If the engine turns over more easily than normal, your timing belt is broken. That's the worst case.
Does your engine service light come on when you turn on the ignition? If not, suspect a bad ignition switch, blown fuse or fusible link in the ignition circuit (if this is the case, look for the problem that blew the fuse before blowing out a new fuse), or dead engine computer.
If the engine service light comes on, get an ODB scan tool and read out the engine data. This is often very helpful in identifying the problem. First, verify that you have ignition pulses; a failed ignition module may be your problem. Second, verify that your fuel pump is working and you have the correct fuel pressure (you may be able to borrow or rent a fuel pressure guage from a car parts store - be sure to follow safety procedures).
Driveshaft yoke balancer
I had the same problem and removed the balancer from the drive shaft this morning. I put the drive shaft back on, and drove the truck around all day, highway, city, stop and go, there were no problems, and the noise was gone, and I had no vibrations at all. So you should be fine if you remove the balancer.
2003 ford ranger 7 pin wiring for a trailer all I
White is ground, black is power to trailer battery trickle charge, blue is brakes, green is tail/running lights, red is left turn signal and left brake light, brown is right turn signal and right brake light, yellow is aux power/back up lights. This is the general color coding, there are exceptions, white, black, and blue are pretty much always as listed above, sometimes the others vary. If you find you are having trouble, post any further questions here, I'll be glad to help out. Curt
