Why does my 2005 Ford F-250 4.6 van keep cutting off & losing power?

Does it have any check engine light codes? This would be the first place to start. If no codes are present check the fuel filter and check for proper fuel pressure. Also check for a restricted exhaust such as a plugged catalytic converter.

DO I HAVE TO CHANGE THE CALIPERS IF THEY LEAK WHEN COMPRESSED TO CHANGE PADS?

Yes. Absolutely. The brake fluid absorbed some water and allowed a little rust to form inside the caliper bores. As the pads wore, the rusty spot grew bigger & bigger, stopping at the pistons. Now you're putting in new pads, so the pistons will be sitting on top of the rusty spots... and the rusty spots WILL LEAK past the pistons.
