What could keep my coil from firing ? I have the Ignition control signal and 12v. while cranking over engine at the top primary wiring of coil. Can you help me get spark?
Sounds like the security system is causing your problem. Is the "security" light flashing? If it is, turn the key on, leave the key in the ON position for 10 minutes. The light will stop flashing. Now, turn OFF the key, turn it back to ON, and then crank it. It should start. If the security light starts flashing again, go through the process again until it starts. This is resetting the security system after the battery has died, battery has been changed, radio was changed, instrument cluster was removed and replaced, etc. Hope this works for you.
Does the the Ecm generate the signal for crank sensor?
The crank sensor generates the signal for the ecm. Every revolution of the crankcase sends a momentary impulse to the ecm. That data then gives the ecm the info with which to properly coordinate the firing of the spark plugs and other critical components.
When testing the sensor most important thing to do is make sure that the sensor is receiving the 12 volts of power on one hot line and then if confirmed you check out the remaining power line for the impulse as the crank rotates. If you detect the impulse then you know the sensor is working.
Brakee lines
You find where the leak is and replace that part of the line with the same size line and then you need to bleed the brakes and get the air out of the line. Be sure when you bleed the lines the master cylinder always has fluid in it You will need someone to pump up the brake and hold it and do not take there foot off of the brake when you have the bleeder at each wheel open or you will suck air back into the system.
How does the c clip get removed?
You need to remove the rear end plate and then the c locks can be remove with a pair of needle nose, you may need to move the axle either in or out to get some clearance to do this or loosen the c lock. Just be sure to drain the rear end before you pull the cover on it.
How to set timing for blue print s/b 396
If the engine has been blue printed with different pistons and cam the best way to set the engine time is to loosen the dist so you can turn it and then start the truck and move the dist to the rear until the engine misses or slows and then move the dist forward until the engine smooth's out and runs smooth. Once this is done quickly step on the gas and the engine should respond right now with no hesitation. You can also use this method for a regular engine timing setting.

Show me where the orifice tube located
Same post again? Look at two AC pipes entering heater box. One is low side (large) and one is high side (smaller). Disconnect the high side pipe union and inside the pie going into heater box is the orifice tube.
