How do I change the torque converter solenoid in the trans on a 2001 Plymouth Neon?

Hi there, I'm Al the owner of Big As Auto Repair. I look forward to helping you with your problem. The Torque Converter Solenoid is mounted in the "Valve Body" behind the transmission oil pan. it very possible it could be in the switch itself but check the relay first which is usually located under the hood in the relay box

2001Dodge neon drips a lot if moisture or water out exhaust while running. What's up with that?

Check that you are not losing water out of the radiator or that you have to keep filling the "top up" tank all the time. If neither of these are happening then it will only be that the car isn't yet hot enough and is ejecting all the moisture created by the process of combustion out of the exhaust. Cold days and short drives do not help. the excess moisture left in the exhaust system rusts it out faster and low temps in the engine can cause sludge build-up. If you use the car for constant short cold weather trips, and you are NOT losing water, I would suggest you take it out on the highway and give it a good run to dry out all the moisture.

Hi Professor, My 2001 Dodge neon has cord P1684. I change the entire battery cable. The engine light is on again when I drive 5 miles. It is still shows cord P1684. How do I sovle this problem? Thanks

Pull all the fuses and reinsert them. Could be corrosion and this will take care of it. After that is wire chasing with an OHM meter.

Hopw do I replace license plate light 2001 dodge neon

If the lens, or lenses, don't have screws then in all probability you'll need to access the lamps from inside the trunk. You'll probably have to remove some kind of trunk liner or maybe pop off some access covers to get to the bulb sockets. You'll need to remove the bulb socket(s) which may have some kind of plastic "lock" you have to press ...just take your time and look at the socket. Then again they may just twist out.

Why does my oil light come on and goes off with plenty of oil in engine

Does it flash, stay on all the time, or just when you start the car? If when you start car, Oil pressure has not built up enough pressure. If it stays on all the time you may have an oil pump failure although not likely. More likely the oil pressure sensor or it's connection is bad. Google for a picture of the connection so you can find it on the engine block, probably above the oil pan on the block. Remove connector polish the spade on the sensor or scrape to bright metal. try to clean connector with a tooth pick. no help? New pressure sensor. But Take car by Auto parts store, most will read the ECU codes. and something else may be amiss.

I changed the transmission in a 2001 dodge neon and now it wont start

Bypass the switch that prevents starting in any gear but Park. That would interrupt voltage flowing to the starter. It might not be sensing which gear. May be normally open in all gears and closes in Park. Be sure it is being actuated. First disconnect it and see if the starter works. Then jump it with a pair of clip leads and see if it starts. Check the wiring from that switch to be sure it is connected to the starter relay. Could be as simple as a plug out.

I need to figure out what is draining my new battery during the night when everything is turned off.

one way to do this is to wait till its dark and get to the fuse block and pull each fuse one at a time slowly , the one that is pulling a load will have a large arc or like a spark to it then its just a matter of tracing out the circuit !

Windows 2001 dodge neon 2.0

If all the windows will not work it will most likely be a blown fuse or a faulty relay. Check the fuse box in the engine bay for a blown power window fuse. If they are ok check the relay by swapping it with one of the other relays in the fuse box.
