Him trying to put the batterie cables on the batterie to charge it because it's dead but at same time the horn goes on then I take the cable off the the batterie it shuts off nd I wanna know where is the fuse at to remove it but my fuse box dnt have a cover on it so I cant tell which fuse it is

run fault codes indicate ambient temp sensor , maf,vaf or engine coolant temp sensor problems

If you've changed the sensor and still getting the code, then the problem is either a wiring harness issue OR, you really do have an internal transmission problem.

The garage should be able to test the glow plugs without removing them. All the need to do is use an ammeter or amp clamp and measure the current drawn by the glow plugs. the glow plugs should draw 16 - 20 amps each. much less than that and they want replacing.

Hook up a AC test gage to the low side pressure port under the hood, it should read 28-32 PSI, if not your system is low on charge.

Sometimes you have to back up about a foot to disengage the hubs.

If the speedometer works and odometer doesn't it is mostly chip failure. Ford put the security in the cluster also. For a few years. Replace the cluster. You also have to have the system reprogrammed.

I just purchased a 1999 F-250 Super Duty with the V-10 engine. It was running rough, so I took a chance on some after-market coils. I bought a set of 10 for just over $75.00 shipped (for all 10 total!!!). They came with new boots, too. They smoothed out the engine just fine and, of course, increased my fuel mileage, too. There ARE reasonably priced parts out there if you shop around.

if it is an EFI engine then the parts that you will need for a tune up will be indicated in the fault codes The ECM of the vehicle continually tunes the engine while running ( around 100 times a minute) and as long as all the sensors are within parameters ,the engine will remain in tune any sensors that are failing will leave a fault code and just because the engine light is not on doesn't mean that there are no fault codes recorded basically "good mechanics do not fix what isn't broken"

Yes,coming from the positive side of battery.

Check and make sure the alternator is charging, if so...check the single wire connector at the alternator.

There is a starter solenoid under the hood on in side the right side fender . close to the firewall on the right side. the small wire is the trigger wire, see if you get power when you turn the key to start on that wire.

Check for blown fusible link and possible bad relay. On relay, with everything off and hot battery hook u battery and give it ten minuets or so, then feel the top of eac relay. if you find a warm or hot one Bingo!

have the cv joints checked as a clicking noise indicates that they need replacing

Bad battery connection most likely.

If the rear ac is blowing cold the the ac system is ok. Is the front inside fan not blowing and that is what you mean?
