Hello, It could be the wiring going from the radio to the speaker. It would most likely be right at the speaker contact points or just behind the kenwood cd player at the wire harness. If all wiring looks snug tightly then double check for shorts. Wires chafe all the time then intermittently touch other wires or metal on the vehicle. Assuming the speaker itself is in good condition the problem should be easy to fix. Also, make sure all fuses are the correct amps and in the correct slots.

You really need it to be diagnosed with a scanning tool to see if it is within specifications. But my best guess would be either the pre-catalytic o2 sensors or the fuel regulator. Ofcourse this only applies after all routine maintenance issues are up to date and all filters changed.

Are you a member of AAA? If not try your ford dealer. Sometimes these smart keys can be fixed in the shop without the car.

Some of the older Tauruses had an interesting issue; the linkage cable from the accelerator somehow gets sticky and needs to be cleaned. There is a small piece of plastic covering the link, so take that off and try spraying the linkage with WD-40. It could be more serious, but I spent a small fortune to find this out, so you can try this first, then spend a small fortune if I'm wrong!!!!

What engine size? For a 3.0L Flex fuel or it's .044 For a 3.0L SFI DOHC it's .054

You need an alignment, camber is out and lack of proper tire rotation and inflation.

The first thing to check is the tail lights. The cruise control will not work if any lights are out. Changing to LED tail lights also causes the cruise to not work.
