Driver side speaker keeps going in and out. Have any idea what this could be?
Hello,
It could be the wiring going from the radio to the speaker. It would most likely be right at the speaker contact points or just behind the kenwood cd player at the wire harness. If all wiring looks snug tightly then double check for shorts. Wires chafe all the time then intermittently touch other wires or metal on the vehicle. Assuming the speaker itself is in good condition the problem should be easy to fix. Also, make sure all fuses are the correct amps and in the correct slots.
Car wont idle. but runs ok once moving. stalls at low speeds
You really need it to be diagnosed with a scanning tool to see if it is within specifications. But my best guess would be either the pre-catalytic o2 sensors or the fuel regulator. Ofcourse this only applies after all routine maintenance issues are up to date and all filters changed.
I have 2005 Ford Taurus and the car idle is stuck on high?
Some of the older Tauruses had an interesting issue; the linkage cable from the accelerator somehow gets sticky and needs to be cleaned. There is a small piece of plastic covering the link, so take that off and try spraying the linkage with WD-40. It could be more serious, but I spent a small fortune to find this out, so you can try this first, then spend a small fortune if I'm wrong!!!!
